Job Description Shift Supervision & Post Control • Lead assigned Security colleagues during the shift, ensuring correct deployment, punctuality, grooming, equipment readiness, and clear pre- and post-shift briefings. • Supervise daily Security operations across assigned posts, including Control Room, lobby, loading bay, back-of-house, colleague entrance, visitor access, VIP parking, guest floors, outdoor areas, and patrol zones. • Ensure essential company-issued equipment such as radio / communication device, torchlight, pocket mask, keys, passes, and first-aid items are available, controlled, and used properly. • Conduct regular checks on Security colleagues and posts to confirm vigilance, adherence to standards, and effective handover. Control Room, CCTV & Systems • Be in charge of the Hotel Security Control Room during the shift and ensure all official documents are handled accurately according to SOP. • Monitor CCTV coverage, alarms, access control, duress systems, fire-life-safety alerts, and security equipment, highlighting faults or unusual observations immediately. • Support preliminary CCTV review for investigation and training purposes in accordance with privacy and evidence-handling standards. • Coordinate with Engineering, IT, or relevant departments to report system faults, door lock issues, safe box concerns, and security equipment defects. Emergency Response & Incident Reporting • Respond to security, medical, fire, duress, lost child, crowd control, guest concern, suspicious activity, and other emergencies as quickly as possible. • Perform First Aid / CPR / AED where trained and required, and coordinate with internal and external emergency responders. • Gather facts, document incidents, prepare end-of-shift reports, complete accident / incident forms, and maintain accurate logbook entries. • Handle lost and found reports, key and pass inventory, safe box issues, door lock concerns, lift control, VIP movement support, crowd control, and ushering duties as assigned. Set up accurate accounts for each guest according to their requirements. Enter Marriott Rewards information. Ensure rates match market codes, document exceptions. Secure payment prior to issuing room key, verify/adjust billing. Compile and review daily reports/logs/contingency lists. Complete cashier and closing reports. Supply guests with directions and property information. Accommodate guest requests, contacting appropriate staff if necessary. Follow up to ensure requests have been met. Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges. Balance and drop receipts. Count and secure bank at beginning and end of shift. Obtain manual authorizations and follow all Accounting procedures. Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft. Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
