<p>Role Summary We are looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Front Office Supervisor to join our team at Novotel Makkah . In this role, you will supervise and support the Front Office team while ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering a welcoming, professional, and consistent guest experience. You will play a key role in coordinating front office activities, supporting the team, handling guest concerns, and maintaining Novotel service standards and hotel procedures.</p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Lead, supervise, coach, and support the Front Office team to ensure consistent service standards and compliance with hotel policies.</li><li>Deliver professional, friendly, and efficient service to all guests, creating a positive and welcoming experience.</li><li>Monitor daily Front Office operations, including check-in, check-out, room assignments, guest requests, and cashiering procedures .</li><li>Assign daily tasks and manage team workflow to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.</li><li>Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, Reservations, and other departments to ensure smooth guest operations.</li><li>Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally, ensuring timely resolution and effective follow-up.</li><li>Coordinate guest arrivals, departures, VIPs, groups, and special requests with attention to detail.</li><li>Ensure accurate guest information, records, and documentation are maintained in the Property Management System (PMS) .</li><li>Monitor room availability, room status, and operational issues and communicate updates to the relevant departments.</li><li>Support the team in resolving operational challenges and make appropriate decisions to maintain service quality.</li><li>Monitor Front Office performance and provide regular coaching, guidance, and constructive feedback to team members.</li><li>Ensure compliance with hotel policies, service standards, safety procedures, and applicable operational requirements.</li><li>Conduct regular shift briefings and actively participate in departmental meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.</li><li>Support the Duty Manager and assume managerial responsibilities when assigned.</li><li>Assist guests with information regarding hotel facilities, services, transportation, and local attractions.</li><li>Maintain a professional, collaborative, and supportive working environment within the Front Office team.</li><li>Monitor guest feedback and assist in implementing actions to improve guest satisfaction and service quality .</li><li>Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management to support the hotel's operational objectives.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p>Diploma or Bachelor s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration , or a related field. Minimum 2 3 years of experience in Front Office operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or team leader position. Previous experience in a hotel environment is required; experience with an international hotel brand is preferred. Strong knowledge of Front Office operations , including check-in, check-out, room assignment, guest services, and cashiering procedures. Proficiency in Opera PMS or other hotel Property Management Systems . Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic , both written and verbal. Knowledge of additional languages is preferred . Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills. Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and complaint-handling abilities. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple operational priorities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Willingness to work flexible shifts, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays . Good knowledge of hotel standards, policies, and safety procedures.
<p>Prepare all potentially hazardous foods at the correct temperatures and in accordance with HACCP and food safety guidelines. Follow appropriate personal hygiene procedures to ensure that all food served to guests is safe for consumption, including proper hand washing and disinfection, wearing the required hat/hairnet, clean uniform, and appropriate footwear. Be responsible for preparing, producing, and presenting all food items related to the Garde Manger section according to the established recipes and hotel standards. Ensure that all food items included in the daily menu, buffet, banquet, and la carte requirements are prepared and ready for service on time. Maintain the required personal grooming and kitchen hygiene standards, including clean and well-maintained hair, appropriate facial hair, clean uniform, and proper personal hygiene. Make the best possible use of available ingredients while maintaining the required quality, portion size, and presentation standards. Inform the Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef of the materials and ingredients required for the following day to ensure that they are requested and provided from the storage areas. Assist in designing, preparing, and arranging decorations required for buffet displays, cold food presentations, salads, appetizers, and other Garde Manger products. Pay close attention to the quantities and portion sizes planned for all food items in order to maintain consistency and control food costs. Store food products and prepared items at the workstation in the correct manner, including proper covering, labeling, dating, temperature control, and storage conditions. Maintain the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, food safety, and health conditions within the workstation and Garde Manger section. Perform all duties related to the Garde Manger section and follow all instructions, recipes, preparation methods, and operational procedures provided by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef. Be responsible for all mise en place, preliminary preparations, and operational checks within the assigned section during working hours. Ensure that food is prepared according to the daily buffet program, banquet requirements, la carte orders, and production plan for the Garde Manger section. Prepare all food items according to the approved standard recipes in order to maintain consistent portions, taste, quality, and presentation. Present food in an attractive and appealing manner and ensure that all decorations and presentations comply with the hotel s standards. Coordinate and exchange information with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth operation, proper timing, and continuous food service. Ensure that storage areas belonging to the Garde Manger section are always clean, organized, properly labeled, and maintained according to food safety standards. Assist the Stewarding Supervisor and Stewarding team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene within the kitchen. Complete and maintain all records related to food preparation, storage, cooking, temperature control, and presentation as required by the Food Safety Management System</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 4 6 years of culinary experience, preferably in luxury hotels or upscale restaurants.</li><li>Strong knowledge of cold kitchen preparation, salads, dressings, appetizers, charcuterie, and buffet presentation.</li><li>Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP or equivalent).</li><li>Strong leadership and team management skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time management abilities.</li><li>Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.</li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.</li><li>Experience is an asset</li><li>Fluency in English, additional languages are a plus</li></ul>
<p><h4>Position summary</h4>
<p>Receive and stage merchandise by department, mark appropriately for placement in facility, and deliver merchandise to appropriate department. Stack received merchandise on pallets or carts. Complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies. Notify manager or supervisor of low stock levels in a timely manner. Receive deliveries, store perishables properly, and rotate stock. Inspect deliveries and date times to verify freshness, cleanliness, consistency, and quality throughout case lots. Refuse acceptance of damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items. Adhere to food safety and handling policies and procedures across all food-related areas. Organize, clean, and sanitize all refrigerators and freezers, floors, food equipment, and drains. Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash and place in proper storage areas.</p>
<p>Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate, and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).</p>
<p>Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.</p>

<p>The Mock Hotel Operations Supervisor is responsible for the full operational oversight of the newly established mock hotel training facility, with a particular focus on Food and Beverage, culinary arts, stewarding operations, scheduling, inventory control, equipment readiness, hygiene standards, and training support. The role requires a hands-on professional with strong hospitality operations experience, practical culinary and F&B knowledge, and direct exposure to the training or education sector. The position holder will ensure that the mock hotel facility operates according to industry standards and supports high-quality practical training for students and trainees.</p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ol><li>Mock Hotel Operations Management Oversee the daily operations of the mock hotel facility, including training kitchens, F&B areas, stewarding sections, storage areas, service areas, and related operational spaces. Ensure that all areas are prepared, organized, clean, safe, and fully operational before scheduled training sessions. Coordinate the use of mock hotel facilities according to academic timetables, training schedules, workshops, events, and practical assessments. Ensure that operational workflows simulate real hospitality and hotel industry standards.</li><li>Scheduling and Coordination Prepare and manage operational schedules for mock hotel areas in coordination with academic and training staff. Coordinate facility bookings, class requirements, practical sessions, instructor needs, and student training activities. Prevent scheduling conflicts and ensure proper readiness of facilities for each session. Communicate operational updates, facility readiness, and resource needs to relevant departments.</li><li>Inventory and Asset Management Maintain a comprehensive inventory of all mock hotel items, including kitchen tools, utensils, service equipment, linens, uniforms, consumables, cleaning materials, and training supplies. Track item movement, usage, condition, damage, loss, maintenance needs, and replacement requirements. Implement proper check-in/check-out systems for equipment and training items. Conduct regular inventory audits and submit reports to management. Ensure that all items are properly labeled, stored, secured, and available when needed.</li><li>Culinary, F&B, and Stewarding Operations Support culinary and F&B practical training by ensuring the availability and readiness of tools, ingredients, equipment, and service areas. Apply practical chef stewarding experience to maintain high standards of dishwashing, sanitation, equipment handling, waste control, and back-of-house organization. Ensure proper setup and breakdown of practical training sessions. Monitor kitchen and service area hygiene, safety, and operational discipline. Support instructors and trainers during culinary, F&B, and hospitality practical sessions as required.</li><li>Food Safety and Hygiene Compliance Ensure compliance with food safety standards, hygiene protocols, sanitation procedures, and safe food handling practices. Monitor the proper use, cleaning, and storage of food-related tools and equipment. Ensure that temperature logs, cleaning schedules, waste disposal records, and hygiene checklists are maintained when applicable. Promote a strong safety and hygiene culture among staff, trainers, and trainees. Ensure that all equipment is functioning safely before use in training sessions.
