<p><b>Purpose</b>: The Technician role is to maintain, repair various Air Conditions, products to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency when visiting customers and carry out requested maintenance jobs as per the job received from the Customer service, application or supervisor. Responsibilities: Perform service maintenance jobs to ensure AC longevity as received from the Customer service, Direct Customers or Supervisor. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues promptly, using appropriate tools and techniques. Repair or replace defective parts or components as needed to restore functionality. Document all maintenance and activities accurately for record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance schedules and tasks. In the case where additional problems are identified during inspection, the technicians shall report it to their supervisors immediately, for further advice. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements relevant to the field and product. Always adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Provide training and guidance to assistant technicians or new hires as required. Respond to emergency service calls and prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact on operations. Test-run the unit to ensure satisfactory completion of the service job. Ensure the job is completed to the customer s satisfaction accordingly. Ensure effective necessary tools, consumables, and spares are available in the service vehicle. Coordinate with the respective assistant technician &amp; ensure the Vehicles Preventive Maintenance Checklist is properly implemented. Strictly adhere to prescribed safety practices &amp; use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment provided. Conduct performance appraisals, reviews, and set improvement goals for technicians. Organize group and one-on-one meetings for training, evaluation, and communication. Recommend technical training for warranty team technicians based on skill gaps. Keep training records updated and ensure personnel maintain proficiency in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.<br>Reporting & Coordination Review and verify daily reports from the team before communicating with clients. Liaise with Sales Department in case of customer faults in reports before sending to clients. Ensure monthly reports are circulated to concerned Sales Departments. Prepare and maintain records of field service failures, coordinate with SKM Factory (Quality/After Sales) for corrective actions.<br>Customer & Site Engagement Meet customers to discuss failures and provide solutions. Visit sites to resolve technical and quality issues during installation, commissioning, and handover stages.
