<strong>Description<br><br></strong><ul><li> Performs short routine EEG recordings.</li><li> Conducts long-term video EEG monitoring.</li><li> Performs bedside EEG recordings.</li><li> Carries out Nerve Conduction Test.</li><li> Conducts evoked potential testing, visual and Somatosensory.</li><li> Assists Neurology Doctor’s to perform EMG advanced NCV and VEP.</li><li> Types and fills reports of each patient.</li><li> Arranges appointment for PSG,PAP Titration, EEG,EMG-NCV and VEP.</li><li> Performs routine equipment’s care, maintenance and inventory evaluation in collaboration with biomedical<br><br></li></ul>engineer.<br><br><ul><li> Reports safety or operational concerns to chairperson of Neurosciences.</li><li> Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures if<br><br></li></ul>applicable.<br><br><ul><li> Performs all procedures in a timely and professional manner.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Requirements<br><br></strong>Skills and Abilities:<br><br><ul><li> Computer knowledge of Microsoft word in mandatory typing skills of 20 words<br><br></li></ul>per minutes or higher.<br><br><strong>Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li> Minimum of 3 years as Neurophysiology Technician or EEG/NCV/EP technician with<br><br></li></ul>documented proficiency in all required competencies.<br><br><ul><li> For Senior Neurophysiology Technician Minimum of 5 years as Neurophysiology<br><br></li></ul>Technician or EEG/NCV/EP technician with documented proficiency in all required<br><br>competencies<br><br><strong>Education<br><br></strong>Completion of neuro physiology procedures training in the hospital or preemployment<br><br>training session from accredited facility<br><br>Language: English and Arabic preferred<br><br>Licenses / Certifications: License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS / DHA)
