You will take end-to-end responsibility for Meta and Tik Tok performance, from budget allocation and bidding to creative testing, attribution, compliance, and margin. The role combines strategic ownership with daily execution in a fast-moving, data-driven environment. You will be expected to scale monthly investment significantly while protecting contribution margin and improving performance predictability. Working closely with creative, product, compliance, and business leadership, you will turn complex channel challenges into practical growth opportunities. You will also build repeatable testing frameworks and playbooks that raise the effectiveness of the wider paid media team. This is an opportunity for an experienced performance marketer to shape a growing channel rather than simply maintain an established playbook.

Accountabilities

Own the end-to-end paid social strategy and execution for the insurance vertical across Meta and Tik Tok, with direct accountability for spend, pacing, performance, and contribution margin. Manage budget and bid strategies, making informed trade-offs between ROAS and contribution dollars to maximize profitable growth. Develop and lead a high-velocity creative testing roadmap in partnership with creative strategists and production teams, overseeing tests from concept and launch through analysis and post-mortem. Monitor performance closely, diagnose shifts caused by campaign, platform, attribution, audience, or creative factors, and take decisive corrective action. Scale monthly paid social investment substantially while maintaining target margins and improving the predictability of channel performance. Build a documented, repeatable paid social playbook covering testing, optimization, measurement, and operational best practices for use across the wider buying team. Establish strong working relationships with Meta and Tik Tok representatives, pursuing allowlisting, beta opportunities, access, and escalation support appropriate to regulated verticals. Partner directly with product, compliance, and business leadership on funnel, landing page, offer, and customer acquisition strategy. Navigate advertising and regulatory constraints proactively, identifying compliant approaches that allow campaigns to continue scaling. Use tracking and attribution data to validate performance, identify data-quality issues, and ensure optimization decisions are based on reliable signals. Share insights and recommendations early, document learnings, and continuously improve channel strategy, creative effectiveness, and testing velocity.

Requirements

4+ years of hands-on paid social buying experience in performance marketing, affiliate marketing, lead generation, or a comparable results-driven environment, with direct responsibility for profitability or contribution margin. Deep expertise with Meta Ads, including campaign structure, bidding and budgeting, audience and placement testing, performance diagnostics, and platform-related changes. Significant Tik Tok advertising experience at meaningful scale, including familiarity with allowlisting, vertical restrictions, landing page requirements, and platform-specific operational considerations. Experience working in a compliance-heavy or regulated industry such as insurance, lending, credit, healthcare, or another restricted lead-generation environment. Strong knowledge of tracking and attribution, including pixel and server-side events, postbacks, conversion quality assurance, and the ability to identify when attribution or performance data may be unreliable. Demonstrated ability to connect paid media activity to P&L outcomes, commercial goals, and margin rather than focusing solely on surface-level channel metrics. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to investigate performance changes beyond the first apparent explanation. Excellent cross-functional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with creative, product, compliance, and business stakeholders. A proactive, accountable, and adaptable working style, with a willingness to operate directly in advertising platforms and move quickly when priorities or market conditions change. Preferred experience with auto insurance or another regulated lead-generation vertical, advertorial or direct-response funnels, landing page conversion testing, AI-powered creative tools, and Looker.

Benefits

Fully remote working environment with flexibility to work from anywhere within the applicable location requirements. Opportunity to develop and implement new growth playbooks and shape how the broader paid media team operates. Diverse and inclusive working culture with a strong emphasis on ownership, continuous improvement, collaboration, and learning. You’ll identify where AI assistants succeed, where they fall short, and which limitations could affect paying business users. The role combines hands-on business operations, structured testing, and detailed technical reporting. It’s an independent, output-focused opportunity for someone who already relies heavily on generative AI in their professional life.

Accountabilities

Run head-to-head prompts and multi-turn workflows across AI assistants, using realistic tasks drawn from small-business operations and marketing. Build and maintain a library of practical SMB test cases covering advertising copy, content planning, customer communications, competitor research, pricing, scheduling, bookkeeping, and related workflows. Test AI capabilities across social media and commerce environments as well as standalone conversational interfaces. Identify and document failure modes, including inaccurate responses, unnecessary refusals, poor instruction-following, tone issues, brand-unsafe content, formatting problems, lost context, and unusable image or video outputs. Produce clear, reproducible evaluation reports detailing the prompts used, AI model and interface, expected results, actual results, severity, and business impact. Compare the value delivered by bundled AI subscriptions with competing paid AI assistants based on realistic business use cases and comparable costs. Evaluate AI tools from the perspective of a real paying business user, focusing on practical usefulness rather than purely technical performance. Maintain a consistent weekly delivery cadence while working independently against defined evaluation criteria.

Requirements

Current or recent experience as the owner, founder, sole proprietor, or day-to-day operator of a small or medium-sized business, ideally with approximately 1–200 employees. Daily, habitual use of generative AI tools for both business operations and marketing; occasional or experimental AI use is not sufficient. Hands-on management of a business presence on Instagram and Facebook, including posts, Stories, Reels, comments, and customer messages. Practical experience creating, launching, and optimizing paid advertising campaigns on Meta platforms using real advertising budgets. Based in the United States and authorized to work there, according to the original role requirements. Availability to complete the agreed deliverables and workload, potentially up to 40 hours per week. Exceptional written English, with the ability to explain AI failures clearly and precisely enough for an engineer to reproduce them without additional clarification. Strong analytical and observational skills, with an ability to distinguish meaningful product limitations from minor inconsistencies. Comfortable working independently, following structured evaluation criteria, documenting findings, and consistently meeting weekly output expectations. Experience with paid AI subscriptions such as Chat GPT Plus/Pro, Claude Pro/Max, Gemini Advanced, or similar is a plus. Experience using multiple AI assistants simultaneously and comparing their practical strengths and limitations is advantageous. Familiarity with AI automations, agents, APIs, no-code integrations, custom GPTs, or similar tools is a plus. Previous experience in model evaluation, red teaming, data annotation, quality assurance, or structured user research is beneficial. Familiarity with SMB tools such as Shopify, Square, Quick Books, Klaviyo, Canva, Cap Cut, or Later is an advantage.

Benefits

Contractor compensation of $40–$50 per hour, with the exact rate determined based on experience, expertise, and geographic location. Remote working arrangement. Opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge generative AI products and competitive AI assistants. Hands-on opportunity to influence how AI products serve real-world small-business users. Work centered on practical business scenarios rather than purely theoretical AI evaluation. Flexible contractor engagement with the potential for up to 40 hours per week depending on the agreed scope and timeline. Opportunity to contribute structured insights that can inform product quality, usability, and competitive positioning. As an independent contractor, you provide your own secure computer and high-speed internet. Company-sponsored benefits such as health insurance and paid time off are not included with the contractor engagement.

How Jobgether Works

We use an AI-powered matching process to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
