Assesses alternative compliance proposals submitted by the contractor and provides feedback as to the feasibility of the proposal and alignment to client requirements. Coordinates the technical elements of the program with respect to life safety systems engineering including establishing targets / goals. Coordinates the interface between other engineering and architectural disciplines to ensure integration and coordination across client programs, facilities, and assets. Reviews deliverables submitted by the contractor / designer and confirms compliance to the relevant requirements, codes, and standards. Monitors the input of the designers throughout the construction phase (RFIs, shop drawings, material approvals, mock-up approvals, punch list, etc.). Provides Management level progress reports and briefings with respect to fire and life safety systems design progress, issues, and opportunities. Coaching, mentoring, and supporting career development of client staff members when required. Keep a proactive Safety aptitude and behavior, and contribute in positive to the a culture of safety.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Hold a degree from a recognized university engineering program or, college diploma from an engineering technology program in electrical, mechanical, controls systems, fire engineering or another relevant engineering discipline, with a minimum of 12 years of experience.</li><li>Demonstrable experience in the design, design supervision, construction and commissioning of transport related facilities involving passenger flows for mechanical, electrical, passive and active fire protection systems. Provide engineering support when required Maintain continuous review of the Production Facilities operations</p><p>Tasks</p><ul><li>Ensure that all activities under his responsibility are done in full compliance with the HSE requirements</li><li>Provide support during Pre Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR) meetings, HSE meetings, etc.</li><li>Perform frequent safety and quality observations in the field and report findings</li><li>Provide support during the preparation of the progress reports</li><li>Provide support during the execution of the Pre-Commissioning, Commissioning & Start-up activities</li><li>Identify solutions to technical problems encountered during operations, which cannot be readily resolved by the operations team on board, including also the related HSE issues.</li><li>Coordinate root cause analysis investigations and prepare relevant reports for operational issues which affects the HSE, the systems availability and the production</li><li>Develop transfer of knowledge and relevant solutions (e.g., feedbacks on solutions assessing/developing how to implement the same solution on the other vessels)</li><li>Along the entire operations life of Production Facilities, provide technical overview of production activities, recommending solutions aimed to guarantee targets achievement, facilitating information exchange and coordinating/optimizing production resources</li><li>Provide technical coordination of operational issues with respect to Corporate Engineering and Procurement departments</li><li>Together with Asset Maintenance dept. prepare and manage planning minimum shut down maintenance (budget, manning, materials, etc.)</li><li>Management of change coordination of any change made to the Production Facilities original design after commissioning and handing over to operations team</li><li>Management of change coordination of the entire process of design change of process/equipment onboard, provide technical support, changes requirements (i.e. HAZID, HAZOP, Risk Assessment) in conjunction with the HSE Dept.</li><li>During bidding phase of a project, provide technical assistance to Proposal Manager as necessary, to ensure that all operational aspects are considered</li><li>During the project execution phase of a new leased Production Facility, provides technical assistance to the Pre-Operations Manager and team on the project as requested</li><li>Smooth transition between Comm and Ops</li><li>At the time of commissioning and Operations start up of a new leased Production Facility, provide continuous technical assistance to ensure a smooth transition from the commissioning team, deliverables, activities (punch lists, marked-up engineering documents, energized and commissioned systems, etc.) to the commencement of normal operations activities</li><li>Review and comment operating manual and procedures</li><li>Redmark and keep updated engineering documentations as required during comms and ops</li><li>Participate in regular updating procedures and standards to ensure that operations experience on existing vessels is incorporated</li><li>Commissioning Engineering: Review HSE plan and procedures</li><li>Review the test run procedure and operating manuals</li><li>Provides support during the preparation of the Precommissioning, Commissioning and Start up plans and procedures including operating instructions, System Dossiers, etc.</li><li>Participate to design reviews (e.g. HAZOP, 3D model, Commissionability review meetings, etc.)</li><li>Review the commissioning spare parts list and consumables list</li><li>Prepare the Purchase Requisitions (RdA) and Technical Evaluation falling within own sphere of responsibility</li><li>Commissioning Engineering: Review HSE plan and procedures</li><li>Review the test run procedure and operating manuals</li><li>Provides support during the preparation of the Precommissioning, Commissioning and Start up plans and procedures including operating instructions, System Dossiers, etc.</li><li>Participate to design reviews (e.g. HAZOP, 3D model, Commissionability review meetings, etc.)</li><li>Review the commissioning spare parts list and consumables list</li><li>Prepare the Purchase Requisitions (RdA) and Technical Evaluation falling within own sphere of responsibility</li></ul><p>What are we looking for</p><p>Languages: English Language skills required (and any other specified by Project)</p><p><br></p></div></section><section><p class="heading">Desired Candidate Profile</p><p class="paragraph">Skills : Commissioning Engineer / HUC<br>Experience : 5 + Years<br>Education : Associates/2 yr Degree/Diploma<br>Languages: English Language skills required (and any other specified by Project)</p></section>
