Key Responsibilities Lead the review and interpretation of geotechnical investigation reports and site soil data. Analyze soil and rock conditions to determine geotechnical design parameters. Design and review shallow and deep foundation systems, including pile foundations, for utility-scale projects. Perform foundation analysis using L. PILE and other engineering software. Conduct corrosion assessments and recommend suitable foundation and steel pile protection systems. Prepare and review geotechnical and foundation design reports in accordance with international standards. Review pile load testing methodologies, witness testing activities, and validate test results. Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Project Management, and global technical teams to optimize foundation designs. Support value engineering initiatives to improve project cost, constructability, and performance. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and support construction teams by resolving geotechnical issues during project execution. Participate in technical discussions with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle. Review contractor work methods, procedures, and site-generated documentation. Evaluate contractor proposals relating to schedules, resources, and construction methodologies. Ensure all mechanical installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.<br>Engineering Review & Compliance Review and assess mechanical design information, shop drawings, technical calculations, and construction documentation or Electrical if that's your discipline. Review, comment on, approve, or reject contractor material submittals and technical submissions. Monitor the implementation of approved changes and ensure accurate as-built documentation is maintained.<br>Testing, Commissioning & Handover Oversee and verify testing, commissioning, and performance validation activities for mechanical systems or Electrical. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful integrated commissioning. Review operation and maintenance manuals and handover documentation. Support the acceptance, completion, and handover of mechanical systems and installations.<br>Project Controls & Reporting Monitor site progress against approved schedules and project milestones. Identify project risks, issues, and opportunities, implementing mitigation measures where required. Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and progress updates for project management. Raise technical queries and provide engineering recommendations to resolve site-related issues. Support the management of observations, corrective actions, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).<br>Stakeholder Coordination Liaise with contractors, consultants, project teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective project delivery. Attend project meetings, inspections, technical reviews, and coordination workshops. Provide technical guidance and support to project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.<br>Requirements<br>Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification. Or a degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent recognised qualification. Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, or equivalent professional accreditation preferred. Membership of a recognised engineering institution or professional body desirable.<br>Experience Minimum 10 years' Mechanical Engineering experience or 10 years Electrical Engineering experience. Proven site-based experience on major construction, infrastructure, industrial, facilities, aviation, defence, or utilities projects. Strong understanding of mechanical installation, testing, commissioning, and handover activities. or similar from an electrical bias. Experience reviewing designs, shop drawings, technical submittals, and contractor documentation. Sound knowledge of international engineering standards, quality systems, and construction best practices. Experience working within Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is advantageous.<br>Skills Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities. Excellent communication and reporting skills. A leading international construction company are currently working on a major project in Riyadh and are looking to recruit an experienced procurement engineer. The Procurement Engineer is responsible for managing the procurement process for both ongoing construction projects and tendering activities. The role involves sourcing materials, equipment, subcontractors, and services in compliance with project specifications, budget constraints, and schedule requirements. The position supports project delivery teams during execution and collaborates with estimating andtendering teams during the bidding phase to obtain competitive quotations and optimize procurement strategies.<br>Candidates should have an engineering degree and should have experience working as a procurement engineer on major civil, infrastructure, construction or EPC projects. Experience of project execution and tendering is prefered.
