<p>JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE </p><br><p>Overall responsible for welding of Jackets and Production Decks (PDM’s) Apart from being well versed in the various welding processes, to provide on-site coordination for all phases of work, including planning of</p><br><p> consumables, welding subcontractors’ allocation, and detailed scheduling as per project requirements. To ensure projects are completed safely, on time.</p><br><p>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES </p><br><p>• Manage the construction day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and performance in accordance to project specification and budget. </p><br><p>• To assist and lead a team of welding workers and supervisors in ensuring all welding activities are performed in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. </p><br><p>• Lead PQR and WQT for the project by communication with all related stakeholders. </p><br><p>• Understanding of welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, SAW, FCAW. To ensure pre and post heating requirements are carried</p><br><p> out based on material thickness, grade, and requirements. </p><br><p>• Carry out inspections as well as resolving and monitoring welding and rectification works. </p><br><p>• To ensure inventory of consumables is always maintained at required level. </p><br><p>• Study construction drawings and plan welding sequence in conjunction with KPI plan. </p><br><p>• Have weekly schedule coordination meetings with all subcontractor foremen to outline requirements of work completion, and other issues as may be required including but not limited to manpower requirements,</p><br><p> interference coordination, inspections, and sequence of work. Distribute three-week look ahead schedules and communicate schedule requirements with all subcontractors. </p><br><p>• Maintain a high-level control around cost of all construction consumables and equipment utilised during the construction works. </p><br><p>• Implement, monitor, and drive the project schedule. Promptly notify management team of schedule and performance issues, be proactive in anticipating potential problems that may impact the project performance. </p><br><p>• Should possess strong knowledge and understanding of shipyard HSEQ regulations and rig building job certification requirements and ensure the same is communicated to the project team on a regular basis. </p><br><p> • Identify the work priorities, focus on the critical path, analyze the work problems in writing with own problem- solving mentality, accurate supervision, decision-maker with a strong convincing personality, full</p><br><p> readiness with 'Plan B' for any unexpected issues. </p><br><p> • Fully responsible for delivery of all Inspection Test Records (ITR’s) under the relevant discipline by effectively delegating to the foreman and chargehands. This must be approached with a high focus on interfacing</p><br><p> and coordination with all other discipline supervision to remove all blocks from achieving target dates.</p><br>
