When a number in that database is wrong, finance, operations and the Ministry of Energy all see the wrong number. We're looking for someone who wants to be the person who makes sure it's right.</p><p><br></p>About Pure-IN<p>Pure-IN (وقود العربية) runs fuel stations across four regions around Jeddah. We're bringing our fuel management system in-house. Controllers at each station report every sale and tank reading to our own servers in Saudi Arabia, and our prices have to match the Ministry of Energy's records. We're a small team building it ourselves, so your work goes live and gets used.</p><p><br></p>The role<p>In a year, you'll own our PostgreSQL database. You'll have moved the full history out of an old system and proved every total still matches. You'll have built the checks that catch a bad number before anyone else sees it. When someone on the team asks "is this number right?", you'll be the one who knows. You'll work with one other developer and the IT & Software Manager. You'll use AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex every day and review every line they write.</p><p><br></p>What you'll do<ul><li>Change the database schema through versioned migration scripts, never by hand.</li><li>Own the data migration from our old MySQL system to PostgreSQL: rehearse it, run it, and prove the totals match.</li><li>Make sure data from station controllers is stored exactly once, even when a controller sends the same thing twice.</li><li>Write the automated checks that run on every change, covering sales totals, tank readings and time zones.</li><li>Manage database users and permissions so each part of the system sees only what it needs.</li><li>Look after backups, restores and query speed as the data grows.</li></ul><p><br></p>What's hard about it<p>Part of the system is inherited code we're still untangling. Evaluates outsource contracts for the security & labors companies to ensure best budget utilization Manages monthly reconciliation for payment versus budget to ensure budget adherence Creates purchasing requests for payment of Sakhaa and outsource companies and making necessary follow up until completing the cycle and issuing PO. Lead the attendance system with full authority, control and responsibility over other admins and super users Ensure data accuracy through data cleansing by having all the below results (not limited to them) All active employees are included in the attendance system All resigned employees are archived on time All active employees are assigned to their accurate locations No employees are still assigned on closed stores All new stores are configured, and relevant employees are assigned to them Respond on daily basis to any opened ticket seeking support for the attendance system (like but not limited to the below ones) Technical issues and inquiries (like calculation errors, prayer time errors, integration problems etc.) Daily operation requests that require admin s authority (like restoring archived employees, assigning more than one store for some users, deleting vacations in the past, creating new users and modifying data of existing users .etc.) Performs the induction and on-job training of users and managers.
