Our approach goes beyond conventional maintenance. We combine technical inspection, condition assessment, corrective planning, controlled execution, documented closure and preventive maintenance to help clients protect their workplaces and assets. We are looking for a senior business development professional who can build strategic relationships, open major corporate accounts and convert opportunities into sustainable facilities management contracts.<br>The Role The Senior Business Development Manager will lead new client acquisition and strategic account development across Riyadh. This person will be responsible for identifying suitable opportunities, building relationships with decision-makers, managing major tenders and working closely with the technical team to develop commercially and technically credible solutions. This is not a general sales position. The successful candidate must understand facilities management, hard services, corporate procurement and the process of converting technical requirements into long-term client relationships.<br>Key Responsibilities Develop and execute the business development plan for Rakal Facilities. Identify and target corporate offices, commercial properties, healthcare facilities, hospitality clients and other suitable sectors. Build relationships with facility managers, procurement teams, property managers, consultants and senior decision-makers. Generate qualified opportunities for annual maintenance contracts, corrective works, facility diagnosis, MEP services and integrated facilities solutions. Lead new account acquisition and strategic client meetings. Manage prequalification, RFQs, RFPs and tender opportunities. Work with the technical and estimation team to develop accurate and competitive proposals. Present technical and commercial solutions to clients. Lead commercial negotiations and support contract finalisation. Maintain an accurate sales pipeline with realistic values, decision dates, next actions and conversion probabilities. Prepare weekly and monthly sales forecasts. Develop account plans for priority clients. Identify re-entry opportunities where clients are facing performance issues with existing contractors. Build relationships with consultants, project management companies and real estate operators. Support the development of partnerships and referral channels. Protect Rakal’s positioning by avoiding unsuitable, high-risk or low-value opportunities. Coordinate closely with the Head of Rakal Facilities on major accounts, pricing strategy and commercial approvals. Support cross-selling opportunities between Rakal Facilities, Rakal Spaces and related service lines where appropriate.<br>Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Facilities Management or a related field. Minimum 7 years of business development or sales experience. At least 5 years of direct experience in facilities management, MEP maintenance, hard services or integrated FM. Strong experience in the Saudi Arabian market, preferably in Riyadh. Proven track record of winning corporate B2B contracts. Experience dealing with facility managers, procurement teams, consultants and property managers. Good understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, civil maintenance, cleaning and related FM services. Experience with annual maintenance contracts, corrective works and recurring service agreements. Strong understanding of tendering, proposal development, pricing and commercial negotiations. Ability to understand technical proposals and communicate them clearly to clients. Strong professional network within the Riyadh corporate or FM market. Excellent English and Arabic communication skills. Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Excellent pipeline management and forecasting discipline. Valid Saudi driving licence.
