Execute duties within the approved Credentials &amp; Privileges provided by the Hospital Credentials &amp; Privileging Committee. Scope Attend service clinical and educational rounds including morning reports and sign out rounds when appropriate. Attend and participate in the multi-disciplinary team rounds. Principal Duties In patient Duties: • Assess and admit patients through Emergency Room, out-patient clinics and transfer from other hospitals as directed by the attending Physician. • Carry out the necessary investigations and admission work-up as indicated. • Carry out the day-to-day patient assessment, plan and execute management under the supervision of the attending Physician. • Conduct daily rounds during work days on admitted patients and assigned consults as appropriate. • Attend to patients when re-evaluation is required throughout the work day. • Attend to admitted patients through the weekend as per the specific service arrangement. • Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner and tend to patients when required to do so. • Participate in trauma care, Code blue care, or rapid response care according to the established role by credential and privilege given. • Answer in-patient consultations within the required timeframe in conjunction with consulting services. • Conduct rounds on related service intensive care unit patients when on-call. • Plan and prepare patients for discharge as appropriate. • Dictate discharge summaries • Provide in-house 24 hour call when required as per the monthly on-call schedule. Out Patient Duties: • Attend assigned out-patient medical/surgical and procedural clinics within approved ambulatory Credential &amp; Privilege. • Refer patients to other services where appropriate. • Evaluate patients in the emergency room and perform minor emergency surgical procedures when required. Operating Room Outpatient Procedure Area Duties: (only applicable for specific specialty) • Assist in the operating room when assigned to a particular service/attending surgeon. • Perform operative procedures within approved privileges. • Perform Perioperative Anesthetic Management within approved privilege. • Maintain punctuality and professionalism in the operating room environment. • When required, keep patients caregiver/guardian informed of the outcome of the procedure. • Dictate timely and appropriate operative reports when required to do so. • Ensure safe patient transfer out of the operating room by completing the required documentation. Education • Graduation from an approved medical school. • One year of internship in a recognized training program. • Completed a formal postgraduate training program in a certain specialty and has proven certified. • SCFHS registered as registrar. <p>Responsible for a specified procedural area to perform Clinical Neurophysiology Procedures. Essential Responsibilities and Duties 1. Works independently and ensures a proper environment for testing in the laboratory, wards, Emergency Room (ER), or Intensive Care Units (ICUs). 2. Obtains medical history of patient and summarizes relevant data. Puts patient at ease and explains procedure. Safely performs auditory, visual or electrical stimulation of the nervous system. Adjusts settings of equipment to ensure proper and accurate test results. Recognizes and eliminates artefacts to produce meaningful diagnostic information. 3. Measures and applies multiple electrodes precisely, carefully, and securely to predetermined anatomic sites. Based on patient s age, diagnosis, current state and medical history, performs Digital Video Electroencephalography (EEG), Visual, Brainstem Auditory and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials, Nerve conduction Studies, Sleep studies, Pulse Oximetry, Autonomic Studies and Long Term Video/Digital Encephalographic monitoring (LTM), in both adult and paediatric patients. 4. Performs urgent diagnostic tests on critically ill patients in ICUs and the ER on mobile equipment or in the laboratory setting in coordination with nursing and respiratory therapy personnel. 5. Monitors patients with surgically implanted intracranial electrodes. 6. Assists physicians with invasive procedures in Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring, Electrocorticography and Electromyography. 7. Monitors patients intraoperatively. Performs complex pre-operative setups with electrodes on multiple anatomic sites. Watches and assesses the quality of the neurophysiologic waveforms. Notes pertinent data for physician review. 10. Ensures safety of patient and safe operation of equipment. Informs supervisor in writing of equipment faults. Maintains work area. The role involves recognizing and eliminating artifacts to produce meaningful diagnostic information for physician interpretation.</p> <h3 style="font-size:18px; font-weight:700; margin:16px 0 8px;">Key Responsibilities</h3> <ul style="margin:0 0 12px; padding-inline-start:24px; list-style-type:disc; list-style-position:outside;"> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Perform non-invasive cardiac investigations such as ECG, Holter monitoring, stress testing, pacemaker and ICD analysis, blood pressure monitoring, and echocardiography procedures including Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Stress Echocardiography (SE).</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Conduct urgent procedures on critically ill patients portably in various locations including wards, OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, ICUs, and Emergency Room.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Assist physicians with procedures in the OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, or other settings as required.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Observe and monitor patients during procedures, noting signs of distress or medical emergencies, taking remedial action, and notifying nursing or medical staff as necessary.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Produce diagnostic information, obtain measured and calculated data, and prepare preliminary reports for review by the reporting physician.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Document and log all patient events and procedures accurately.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Ensure a safe environment and safe operation of equipment, monitoring equipment, reporting hazards or repair needs, and calibrating equipment as required.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Clean and disinfect clinical equipment in accordance with Laboratory and Hospital policies or manufacturer instructions.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Ensure procedure rooms are clean, tidy, and adequately stocked with supplies, linen, and other necessary items.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Participate in the on-call roster and assist with emergency resuscitation procedures.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Apply sterile technique for Cardiac Cath Lab, OR, and isolation patients, and adhere to infection control policies within the Non-Invasive Cardiology Lab.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Comply with section policies, procedures, protocols, and the section's quality improvement program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, SFDA, and other accreditation agency standards.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Adhere to Radiation safety rules and regulations of the hospital, KACST, * CARE, and other national or international regulatory bodies.</li> </ul> <h3 style="font-size:18px; font-weight:700; margin:16px 0 8px;">Qualifications and Requirements</h3> <ul style="margin:0 0 12px; padding-inline-start:24px; list-style-type:disc; list-style-position:outside;"> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Current registration from the country of origin is mandatory.</li> <li style="margin:0 0 6px;">Current registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialist (SCHS) is required.</li> </ul> <h3 style="font-size:18px; font-weight:700; margin:16px 0 8px;">Work Environment</h3> <p style="margin:0 0 12px; ************;">This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a hospital setting that requires adaptability to various clinical environments including critical care areas.</p></div>
