Responsibilities Participate in the commissioning, project delivery, and acceptance of large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. Perform commissioning, troubleshooting, and defect resolution for battery containers/cabinets, including:Fire Suppression System (FSS),Liquid Cooling System (HVAC/TMS),DC Circuits (up to 1500V DC),Auxiliary AC Circuits (220V/400V AC),BMS Communication Systems Assist with the commissioning of PCS (Power Conversion System) and EMS (Energy Management System), with a basic understanding of their operating principles. More than 5 years of experience in electrical equipment commissioning, energy projects, or related industries. Familiarity with one or more of the following areas:Basic knowledge of primary and secondary electrical systems;Energy storage systems, photovoltaic (PV) systems, and power systems;Basic principles of BMS, PCS, and EMS;Industrial communication protocols such as CAN and Modbus RTU/TCP;Communication networks and fieldbus technologies. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and communication topology drawings. The position requires participation in proposal and bidding activities, alongside providing essential technical support during construction and commissioning phases.</p><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Plan, schedule, monitor, and control all engineering activities pertinent to the Mechanical Discipline.</li><li>Ensure effective interdisciplinary coordination and support team building initiatives.</li><li>Proactively identify and highlight issues or problems to management for timely remedial action.</li><li>Actively participate in progress review meetings, technical meetings, client meetings, and vendor meetings.</li><li>Support Procurement activities, including raising Material Requisitions (MRs), conducting Technical Bid Clarification/Evaluation (TBC/TBE), and drafting Purchase Requisitions.</li><li>Assist the bidding team by raising Requests for Quotation (RFQs), performing technical evaluation of bids, and contributing to cost estimation.</li><li>Provide technical support during construction by responding to site-related technical queries (TQs).</li><li>Review and provide comments on GES plus engineering deliverables on a case-by-case basis.</li><li>Ensure the safety and quality of all deliverables.</li><li>Participate in Value Engineering practices such as value engineering studies, lessons learned sessions, Risk Assessment/Management Studies and workshops, and Constructability studies and workshops.</li><li>Strive for customer satisfaction and appreciation.</li></ul><h3><strong>Required Experience</strong></h3><ul><li>A minimum of <strong>10 years of combined experience</strong> in the Oil and Gas, Petrochemicals, and Power Industries.</li><li>Demonstrated experience working with GES plus/EPC Contractors on projects for Saudi Aramco, SABIC, and other reputable organizations.</li><li>Experience in attending Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT) activities.</li><li>Experience providing support for pre-commissioning activities.</li></ul><h3><strong>Educational Background</strong></h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BS, BE, or B Tech).</li><li>Completion of relevant training and certification courses.</li></ul><h3><strong>Skills and Attributes</strong></h3><p>The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities within the mechanical discipline, excellent interdisciplinary coordination skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A solid understanding of static equipment is considered an advantage. The role demands a commitment to ensuring safety and quality in all deliverables, coupled with a focus on achieving customer satisfaction.</p><h3><strong>Work Type</strong></h3><p>This is a full-time position requiring dedicated involvement in engineering projects within an EPC framework.</p>
