The role makes two key contributions to the business: developing the strategic direction for future growth and ensuring the highest standards of event delivery through effective execution.</p><br><p>The Exhibition Director must possess exceptional communication, reporting, and presentation skills, as the role requires regular engagement with senior executives, government officials, and key stakeholders across the Government of Saudi Arabia and Informa Markets. <p> Role Summary We are seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to lead the city-wide Water Balance Study determining water availability and quantifying every inflow and outflow across the study area, validating the groundwater and dewatering systems both separately and combined, and assessing the potential for water reuse. The role owns the water-balance model and its field-data foundation: it divides the study area into sub basins, instruments control points, quantifies recharge and losses, reconciles the balance against monitoring, and delivers the water-balance, water-reuse and reuse-pilot outputs. It also supplies the water-balance interface and recharge understanding that the numerical groundwater model depend Accountability The Senior Hydrogeologist is accountable for a defensible, monitoring-validated city-wide water balance with quantified uncertainty, for the water-reuse assessment and pilot design, and for supplying the recharge and water-balance inputs on which the groundwater model and Master Plan depend. Key Competencies Water-balance leadership Uses satellite imagery and NDVI/land-use analysis to validate the balance. Recharge & losses Quantifies recharge, evapotranspiration, leakage and seepage in an arid urban setting. Field & instrumentation Designs and directs monitoring, sampling and controlled measurement of flows, levels and quality. Core Responsibilities (Task D) 1.1 Water-Balance Model & Components Develop the city-wide water-balance model to determine water availability and assess all in- and out flowing volumes, accounting for (but not limited to) the following components: Inflows/Outflows Rainfall / Actual evaporation / evapotranspiration Waste-water system leakage / Occasional outflowing rainfall runoff (via wadis) Fresh-water system leakage / Downward seepage to deeper aquifers Occasional inflowing runoff (peak flow, via wadis) / Water extraction (e.g. irrigation) Continuous upward seepage (base flow) 1.2 Study-Area Characterization & Sub-Basins Divide the project area into at least 15 sub-basins and fit all control points with gauges, meters and instruments to validate the balance; run monitoring over at least 12 months. Collect, compile and update geological and hydrogeological information and the natural-setting base map; complete missing data through field investigation. Investigate all factors influencing the balance land use, public/private landscaping, sewered/non-sewered leakage, supply source, infrastructure age, geology, weather/evapotranspiration, watersheds and runoff, and recharge. Give special attention to the differing ground characteristics of eastern Riyadh, and evaluate existing dewatering projects efficiency in water-table control. Field Data, Remote Sensing & Quality Conduct geophysical and remote-sensing investigations (including radar survey), and procure high-precision satellite imagery to validate balance inputs and outputs and derive land-use, levels and surface type. Quantify actual irrigation practices and application rates on public land to improve accuracy. Install flow meters, gates, isolation valves, level sensors and pressure loggers, and consider online quality monitoring, to establish a controlled monitoring system; collect water samples to examine quality and source. Validate received data against field measurements and estimate uncertainty/error margins for each factor to generate an overall error range. Water Reuse & Groundwater Resources Apply the water-balance model to assess possibilities for water reuse for irrigation and other purposes. Define the potential uses of groundwater available and usable quantities, fields of usage, optimum use, and parameters affecting use. Design a water-reuse pilot study to investigate capability and future potential, identifying all monitoring items, performance indicators and related parameters. Integration & Reporting Provide the water-balance interface and recharge parameterization that the numerical groundwater model and Master Plan rely upon. Deliver the Task Inception Report, Water Balance Final Report, Water Reuse Final Report, Reuse Pilot Design Package and Task Completion Report to the client s acceptance. Contribute to the analysis and assessment of all data collected through the history of the groundwater program. Task D Deliverables the Role Leads The Senior Hydrogeologist leads the Task D (Water Balance Study) deliverables across the program term: Task Inception Report Methodology, water resources, water-reuse potentials, action plan. Term M3 Water Balance Final Report City-wide inflow/outflow balance across sub-basins with error ranges. Confirm bookings and reschedule as needed; ensure workshop capacity and technician skill availability are considered. Perform pre-arrival checks for upcoming appointments (e.g., 48 hours before visit): Review appointment details, customer concerns, and vehicle history. Coordinate with Parts Advisor to verify parts availability, create pre-picks, or trigger special orders; record ATP/ETA in the work order. Flag constraints (e.g., parts backorder, capacity issues) to Workshop Supervisor / Service Manager and adjust promise times if required. Confirm customer attendance, transportation needs, and any special instructions (e.g., contactless, valet, mobile vs. in-shop). Perform or coordinate a walk-around inspection at check-in (with concierge / technical advisor where applicable): Record exterior/interior condition, SoC, warning lights, and kilometrage. Obtain and document customer approval (signature / electronic consent) before proceeding. For VOR cases: Expedite diagnosis and initial estimate to reduce vehicle down time. Designed as the Kingdom’s future capital of entertainment, sports, and culture, this landmark development aims to diversify the economy and enhance quality of life through a mix of world-class attractions, residential communities, and natural landscapes, while generating significant employment and enabling long-term, sustainable growth.</p><br><br><br><p>About the Opportunity:</p><br><br><p>The Director, Waste Management provides strategic leadership for the city's waste management asset portfolio, ensuring waste infrastructure, systems, services, and commercial arrangements are effectively planned, governed, and optimized throughout their lifecycle. The role develops long-term strategies, lifecycle investment plans, performance frameworks, regulatory assurance, and asset management standards to support safe, sustainable, and cost-effective waste services. It oversees municipal, recycling, organics, construction, hazardous, and event waste streams, while promoting circular economy principles, resource recovery, and digital enablement. The position ensures alignment with the city's asset management framework, sustainability objectives, Saudi regulations, Vision 2030 priorities, and global best practices.</p><br><br><br><p>Role Responsibilities:</p><br><br><ul><li>Lead the strategic direction, governance, operating model, policies, and performance framework for the city-wide waste management portfolio.</li><li>Develop long-term waste asset strategies, service models, demand forecasts, capacity plans, and lifecycle investment programs aligned with city growth and operational needs.</li><li>Drive sustainability, circular economy, recycling, resource recovery, waste diversion, and carbon reduction initiatives in line with ESG objectives and Vision 2030.</li><li>Establish asset information, digital systems, smart waste technologies, data governance, performance dashboards, and analytics to support informed decision-making.</li><li>Ensure compliance with waste management regulations, environmental requirements, permits, licensing obligations, and regulatory reporting through engagement with key authorities.</li><li>Oversee asset lifecycle management for waste infrastructure, including planning, design, maintenance, renewal, replacement, resilience, and operational readiness.</li><li>Lead health, safety, and environmental management, ensuring safe waste handling, environmental protection, regulatory compliance, and emergency preparedness.</li><li>Develop commercial, procurement, investment, and provider governance strategies, including contracts, KPIs, SLAs, budgeting, and lifecycle cost optimization.</li><li>Build strong relationships with developers, operators, facility managers, event organizers, regulators, and the community to support waste and sustainability objectives.</li><li>Lead organizational capability development, fostering a culture of safety, operational excellence, innovation, sustainability, continuous improvement, and workforce development.</li></ul>

<br> Here's what you'll need <br>
<p>Role Requirements:</p><br><br><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Waste Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Facilities Management, or a related field; Master’s degree and relevant professional certifications are preferred.</li><li>18+ years of experience in waste management, environmental services, utilities, infrastructure operations, facilities management, or city-scale service delivery, including at least 8 years in senior leadership roles.</li><li>Proven expertise in municipal, recycling, construction and demolition, organic, hazardous, and industrial waste management, including treatment, transfer, recovery, and disposal systems.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Saudi environmental regulations, MWAN requirements, circular economy principles, ESG frameworks, regulatory compliance, and waste governance.</li><li>Experience leading waste strategy, procurement, operational readiness, service mobilization, performance management, audits, lifecycle planning, OPEX/CAPEX management, and contractor oversight.</li><li>Advanced capabilities in smart waste technologies, IoT, GIS, data analytics, waste-to-energy solutions, stakeholder management, executive reporting, and driving sustainable, commercially viable waste management operations.</li></ul><br><p>Jacobs.
