Job Purpose The Finance Manager is responsible for leading the full finance and accounting function of a bakery and sweets manufacturing and sales operation in Saudi Arabia. The role carries end-to-end accountability for financial reporting, management accounting, product costing, margin analysis, cash flow management, budgeting, compliance, and internal controls across both factory production and retail/wholesale sales channels. This is not a bookkeeping role. Product Costing & Margin Management• Own the end-to-end product costing framework for all bakery and sweets product lines, covering raw materials, direct labor, production overheads, packaging, and distribution costs.• Develop and maintain standard cost cards (Bill of Materials costing) for each product SKU, with regular reviews against actual production costs.• Conduct contribution margin analysis by product, product category, and sales channel (retail, wholesale, B2B, online) to identify profitability drivers and margin leakage.• Monitor and report on raw material cost movements (flour, sugar, butter, cocoa, packaging) and their impact on product margins, with proactive escalation when thresholds are breached.• Support pricing decisions with cost-based analysis, competitive benchmarking inputs, and scenario modeling for volume and price sensitivity.<br>3. Production Finance & Inventory Controls• Partner with the production and operations team to monitor production yields, scrap/waste rates, and batch efficiency from a financial perspective.• Ensure accurate inventory valuation across raw materials, work-in-progress, finished goods, and packaging materials, applying appropriate costing methods (weighted average or standard cost).• Govern inventory write-off and write-down processes for expired, damaged, or slow-moving stock, with clear approval protocols and financial reporting.• Track and report production cost variances (material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption) and work with operations to identify root causes and corrective actions.• Ensure financial controls over warehouse stock movements, inter-location transfers, and production-to-sales handoff are robust and auditable.<br>4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management• Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts covering operational receipts, supplier payments, payroll, capital expenditure, and financing obligations.• Manage working capital aggressively, optimizing the balance between receivables collection, inventory holding, and payables management.• Monitor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), Days Payables Outstanding (DPO), and inventory turnover ratios, with clear targets and escalation triggers.• Manage banking relationships, facilities, and treasury operations including letters of credit for imported raw materials where applicable.• Ensure adequate liquidity headroom for seasonal demand fluctuations (Ramadan, Eid, national holidays) that are characteristic of bakery and sweets businesses.<br>5. Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Planning• Lead the annual budgeting process across all departments, consolidating production, sales, procurement, and overhead budgets into a unified financial plan.• Develop monthly rolling forecasts that reflect actual performance, market conditions, and operational adjustments.• Provide scenario analysis and financial modeling to support executive decisions on capacity expansion, new product launches, channel expansion, and capital investments.• Track and report budget performance with monthly variance analysis, highlighting key drivers and recommending corrective actions.• Prepare financial feasibility assessments for new product lines, new branch openings, or production capacity investments.<br>6. Revenue & Sales Finance• Establish and govern revenue recognition processes across all sales channels — retail outlets, wholesale, institutional/B2B, e-commerce, and delivery platforms.• Monitor sales performance by channel, region, and product category with clear revenue, margin, and volume reporting.• Manage accounts receivable with structured collection processes, credit terms governance, aging analysis, and bad debt provisioning.• Reconcile and control revenue from third-party delivery platforms, aggregator commissions, and promotional discounts.• Support the commercial team with financial analysis on customer profitability, volume discount structures, and trade spend effectiveness.<br>7. Compliance, Tax & Internal Controls• Ensure full compliance with Saudi tax and regulatory requirements including Zakat, VAT, withholding tax, and GOSI/social insurance obligations.• Prepare and file all statutory returns within prescribed deadlines, managing relationships with ZATCA and relevant regulatory bodies.• Design, implement, and maintain internal financial controls across procurement, production, sales, cash handling, and inventory.• Lead the external audit process, ensuring clean audit opinions with zero material findings.• Ensure compliance with SFDA (Saudi Food and Drug Authority) financial reporting requirements where applicable to food manufacturing operations.• Maintain segregation of duties, approval matrices, and authorization limits across all financial transactions.<br>8. Team Leadership & Systems• Build, lead, and develop the finance and accounting team including accountants, cost accountants, cashiers, and accounts clerks.• Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations within the finance function.• Oversee the ERP/accounting system to ensure accurate configuration for F&B manufacturing requirements including BOM costing, inventory modules, and multi-location accounting.• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, reporting automation, and system utilization to improve accuracy and reduce close times.• Ensure adequate cross-training and documentation of financial processes for operational continuity.<br>Authority & Decision Rights• Full ownership of the finance and accounting function, reporting standards, and internal control framework.• Authority to enforce financial policies, approval limits, and control procedures across all departments.• Budget authority over finance department expenditures within approved governance.• Direct authority to halt or escalate transactions that breach internal controls, approval limits, or compliance requirements.• Advisory authority on pricing decisions, capital investment approvals, and supplier payment terms.• Signatory authority on banking transactions and financial commitments within approved limits.<br>Qualifications & Experience Education• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Professional accounting qualification is prefered: CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent.• MBA or Master's in Finance is an advantage.<br>Experience• Minimum 7 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a finance management or senior finance role.• Must have direct experience in F&B manufacturing environments, specifically bakery, confectionery, sweets, or similar food production operations.• Experience must span both production costing (factory-side) and sales finance (commercial-side) within an F&B business.• Demonstrated experience in product costing, BOM management, and margin analysis within a manufacturing context.• Strong experience in managing cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships in an operating business.• Experience with ERP systems in an F&B manufacturing environment (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or equivalent).• Experience in the Saudi market with knowledge of ZATCA, Zakat, VAT, and Saudi labor cost structures is strongly preferred.• Available in KSA with transfereable Iqama
