<p>Location Riyadh Department/Section Molecular Diagnostics Section Summary Leads and coordinates activities of the Laboratory Technicians and Laboratory Assistants. Performs a variety of laboratory testing and related tasks. Operates automated testing equipment. Performs routine procedural steps of laboratory tests. Essential Responsibilities and Duties 1. Monitors and resolves problems related to specimen processes and activities of the Laboratory Technicians and Laboratory Assistants. 2. Receives sorts and accessions lab specimens in ICIS and processes them by manual and automated methods and contacts phlebotomists, nurses, and doctors as required to solve specimen-related problems. 3. Views activities orders in ICIS and prints both collection and aliquot labels. 4. Performs separate procedural steps of less complex laboratory testing procedures to obtain results for diagnosis of patient diseases. 5. Operates automated testing and diagnostic equipment in accordance with accepted and established procedures. 6. Prepares specimens for observation and analysis by other laboratory staff members. 7. Identifies and labels all specimens to be retained and files them for later reference. 8. Assists in training new laboratory technicians and trainees. 9. Experience Required Grade 07: One (1) year of related experience with Bachelor's or two (2) years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required. Grade 08: • Four (4) years as Medical Laboratory Technician at KFSH&RC, or (Grade 07) related experience is required. • Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years. • Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education (CME). Other Requirements(Certificates) • Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required. • Bilingual skills (English/Arabic) is required for verbal and written communication purposes. • Completion of approved accreditation according to country of origin is required for non-Saudi.</p>
