We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. The Operations Manager – Central is responsible to the Head of Operations for defining, planning, managing and delivering the contractual obligations of the facilities management scope. The Job Holder will be responsible for managing all projects within the Facilities Management sphere, including the design, construction, testing and commissioning and closure of the project to cost, time and quality. The key aspect of this role will focus on the management of the O&M suppliers, through a close working relationship, and providing expert knowledge and leadership. The delivery of this role will typically be through the management of the incumbent O&M supplier and supporting the wider RES functions. The Job Holder will ensure that all aspects of the facilities management scope are fully defined to ensure customer requirements are achieved in accordance with all business and commercial criteria, as well as company policies and procedures.In doing so the Operations Manager – Central will develop and maintain local tools and processes, ensuring they are aligned to the BAE Systems corporate framework. The Job Holder will manage, control and monitor the O&M contract and individual projects so that they are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality requirements, regularly reviewing and reporting on progress against plan and, where necessary, intervening to resolve issues which threaten delivery to plan.To achieve this, it will be necessary to ensure that the Operations Manager – Central adheres to all policies and procedures and that they are carried out in such a way as to minimise risk and maximise opportunities. The Job Holder will need to manage relationships with major suppliers and subcontractors to ensure all contracts are delivered and that issues are effectively addressed.
