Job Purpose<br>The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining, configuring, and ensuring the reliable operation of the company's IT infrastructure, including computer systems, servers, networks, and related technologies. The role focuses on maintaining system availability and security, managing user access and connectivity, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing technical support to employees. The System Administrator will also support infrastructure upgrades and ensure that IT systems operate smoothly, securely, and efficiently.<br>Key Responsibilities<br>Systems & Infrastructure Administration Maintain, configure, and ensure the reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualized environments. Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain operating systems, software, hardware, and related IT infrastructure. Manage virtual servers and support virtualization environments. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure systems meet operational requirements. Support infrastructure upgrades, system implementations, and technology improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate technical documentation and system configurations. Network & Security Management Install, configure, and maintain firewalls, IPS/IDS, antivirus, anti-malware, anti-spam, and other network security solutions. Monitor and maintain LAN, WAN, and network connectivity across the organization. Ensure system and network security through appropriate access controls, security policies, backups, and firewall management. Support patch management and ensure systems are regularly updated and protected. Monitor security-related issues and take appropriate action to minimize risks and service disruptions. Support data backup and recovery processes to ensure business continuity. Microsoft Azure AD & Access Management Manage systems and devices connected to Microsoft Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID. Manage user accounts, access permissions, and authentication requirements. Ensure appropriate access controls are maintained across company systems and applications. Support employees with account, access, and system-related issues. IT Support & Troubleshooting Provide day-to-day technical and operational support to employees. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, system, and network issues in a timely manner. Troubleshoot issues by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing incidents, and assessing their operational impact. Install and support desktop applications, workstations, printers, and related IT equipment. Coordinate with external vendors and maintenance providers when required. Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and spare parts required for emergency repairs. Ensure technical issues are resolved with minimal disruption to business operations. Unified Communications & IT Services Maintain Unified Communications, VoIP, and related equipment, services, and platforms. Support software upgrades, installations, and system integrations. Provide technical specifications and documentation to support the planning and implementation of new or upgraded IT infrastructure. Identify opportunities to improve and automate IT processes where applicable.<br>Qualifications & Experience<br>Education Bachelor's or Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may be considered in place of formal education. Professional certifications in Microsoft, Linux, networking, or system administration are an advantage.<br>Experience3–5 years of experience in System Administration, Network Administration, IT Infrastructure, or a similar role. Hands-on experience managing computer systems, servers, networks, and IT infrastructure. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure AD / Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows environments, and user access management. Experience with LAN, WAN, networking protocols, firewalls, and patch management. Experience with virtualization technologies and virtual server management. Knowledge of system security, intrusion detection/prevention, access controls, and backup and recovery. Familiarity with various operating systems and IT platforms. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users.
