This role includes preparing and analyzing cost reports, reviewing daily purchases and stock movements, and reconciling food cost accounts with operational data. The Food Cost Accountant will prepare journal entries, support month-end closing, and assist in the preparation of financial statements related to food cost performance. Day-to-day tasks involve investigating cost variances, collaborating with procurement and operations teams to optimize cost efficiency, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and providing clear financial insights to management for decision-making.<br>Qualifications:Knowledge of food industry operations, inventory management, and cost control practices is highly beneficial. Food Cost Accounting and food cost control skills, with experience in tracking and analyzing product and recipe/menu costs. At Least 5 Years as Food Cost Accountant or relevant experience food manufacturing. Journal Entries (Accounting) skills, including general ledger posting and month-end closing activities. Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify cost variances, and recommend corrective actions. Relevant academic background in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Finance and Financial Statements skills, including the ability to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheets (e.g., ERP systems, Excel) and strong numerical accuracy.
