Based in Riyadh, KSA, the successful candidate will be responsible for both business development and providing technical support on projects of varying stages and operations throughout the region. <p><strong>Job Summary:</strong> Driller supervises the drill crew and runs the entire drilling operations activities to achieve the requirements of the operator s Drilling / Work-Over program while safely using to best effect machinery, equipment, and manpower. Operates drilling controls and drilling package, monitors drilling parameters and takes actions in well control situations. Driller diagnoses and reports down-hole problems and implements corrective measures. Enforce ADES safety procedures taking appropriate measures, ensure timely maintenance of drilling equipment &amp; prepare activity reports to ensure that the drilling unit, machinery, equipment, and other resources are effectively operated to optimize the company's site operations considering the safety of personnel, the environment, and equipment to maximize drilling operation efficiency.</p><p><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><strong>Rig Operations:</strong> Manages the drilling operation, operates, controls the drilling equipment, and ensures that drilling activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations and company policies. Supervises and directs the drilling crew and provides guidance, assigns tasks, and monitors performance to ensure the smooth execution of drilling activities. Monitors drilling parameters, adjusts equipment settings and troubleshoots issues to perfect drilling performance. Reports drilling progress, well conditions, safety incidents, and any deviations from drilling plans to Toolpusher /OIM and Client representative onboard and other relevant parties. Maintains accurate records including drilling reports, equipment logs, safety records, tubular run in the hole including pipe tally, full BHA/completion components and critical fishing dimensions and drilling parameters. Fill up a daily drilling report for the activities performed during his shift &amp; update the pipe tally book and draft dimensioned drawings of the equipment run in the well to describe the work conducted. Utilize drilling control equipment, monitor gauges and auxiliary tools, and promptly notify the tool pusher and client representative of necessary actions to address potential issues such as, but not limited to, stuck pipe, flow back, and hydraulics. Ensure the hole is drilled using good oilfield practice to the required depth, with adequate well control contingency in place. Monitor for any down hole irregularities such as kicks, pressure fluctuations, and abnormal torque. Take immediate action to secure the well in the event of a well control incident and promptly inform the Toolpusher and client representative. Instruct subordinates to diligently monitor the pipe string for any irregularities during the process of pulling out of the hole. Take charge of BOP installation including installations of auxiliary equipment such as hoses, guide wire, etc. Pressure test Well Control Equipment as per Company and Regulatory requirement to ensure readiness and effectiveness in critical situations. Monitor and control the mud activities to maintain proper mud volume, weight and properties.</p><p><strong>Equipment:</strong> Report machinery and equipment deficiencies requiring repair or replacement to the supervisor. Coordinate with maintenance personnel to ensure execution of maintenance and repair works. Organize and oversee routine maintenance and repair of drilling equipment. Conducting weekly checks on the derrick and substructure. Perform daily visual inspections on various equipment in area of responsibility per Rigs daily check forms. Provide instructions to the drilling team for the repair and maintenance of drilling equipment as per the planned maintenance system.</p><p><strong>Working at Heights:</strong> Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as per Company procedure. These solutions are often part of&nbsp;broader end-to-end engagements spanning managed services, security, networking, data platforms, and&nbsp;application modernisation.</p><br><br><p><br>As a senior technical leader, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers while becoming a recognised&nbsp;subject matter expert within Rackspace for VMware and infrastructure modernisation solutions.</p><br><br><p><br><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Develop trusted relationships with client executives and technical stakeholders, acting as both a&nbsp;business and technical advisor.</li><li>Lead customer workshops focused on VMware technologies, private cloud adoption, data centre&nbsp;modernisation, hybrid cloud architectures, and platform transformation strategies.</li><li>Design and position solutions leveraging VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere, NSX, VMware Aria&nbsp;Suite, Tanzu, and complementary technologies.</li><li>Assess customer requirements and develop solution architectures that address current and future&nbsp;business objectives.</li><li>Lead complex presales engagements, coordinating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Product&nbsp;Management, Sales, and Delivery teams.</li><li>Produce high-quality proposals, RFI/RFP responses, bids, and Statements of Work (SoWs) that clearly&nbsp;articulate customer requirements, solution designs, project scope, and delivery effort.</li><li>Provide specialist guidance on VMware platforms, migration strategies, infrastructure transformation,&nbsp;and hybrid cloud adoption.</li><li>Identify buying signals, compelling events, key stakeholders, and potential barriers to successful sales&nbsp;outcomes.</li><li>Anticipate and address technical and commercial objections, reducing customer risk and increasing&nbsp;confidence in Rackspace solutions.</li><li>Advise customers on infrastructure operations, platform governance, cloud strategy, and&nbsp;transformation roadmaps.</li><li>Estimate project effort, resource requirements, and delivery approaches using Agile, Waterfall, or&nbsp;hybrid methodologies.</li><li>Maintain accurate pipeline, opportunity, and customer engagement information within Salesforce.</li><li>Contribute to the development of the wider solutions organisation through mentoring, knowledge&nbsp;sharing, and technical leadership.</li><li>Maintain deep expertise in VMware technologies and stay current with industry developments and&nbsp;market trends.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><b>Required Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related&nbsp;discipline; alternatively, 10+ years of relevant experience in technical presales, consulting, or solution&nbsp;architecture.</li><li>Extensive experience designing enterprise infrastructure and VMware-based solutions.</li><li>Strong understanding of datacentre and infrastructure modernisation strategies, including&nbsp;virtualisation, workload migration, consolidation, private cloud, and hybrid cloud adoption.</li><li>Proven expertise across VMware technologies, including: VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere,&nbsp;vCenter, NSX, VMware Aria Operations and Automation, and VMware Tanzu.</li><li>Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure architectures, including compute, storage, networking,&nbsp;and security.</li><li>Experience designing highly available, scalable, resilient, and secure virtualised environments.</li><li>Understanding of disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and infrastructure resilience&nbsp;solutions.</li><li>Familiarity with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Aria&nbsp;Automation, or similar technologies.</li><li>Knowledge of Kubernetes and container platforms, particularly VMware Tanzu, is advantageous.</li><li>Demonstrated success solving complex technical challenges within enterprise VMware, virtualisation,&nbsp;or hybrid cloud environments.</li><li>Strong commercial awareness and the ability to navigate complex customer engagements and&nbsp;negotiations.</li><li>Advanced understanding of industry trends relating to virtualisation, private cloud, hybrid cloud, and&nbsp;data centre transformation.</li><li>Experience using solutioning and presales tools, including Salesforce, proposal management, project&nbsp;scoping, and assessment frameworks.</li><li>Exceptional communication, presentation, whiteboarding, analytical, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to balance multiple opportunities&nbsp;and strategic initiatives.</li></ul><p><br><b>What Success Looks Like</b></p><br><br><ul><li>Becoming the recognised VMware and Infrastructure Modernisation expert within Rackspace.</li><li>Driving successful solution outcomes for complex enterprise customers.</li><li>Influencing strategic technology decisions and transformation programmes.</li><li>Helping customers modernise their infrastructure while accelerating their cloud and digital&nbsp;transformation journeys.</li><li>Enabling sustained revenue growth through technical leadership, innovation, and trusted advisory&nbsp;relationships.</li></ul><br><p>#LI-LP2</p><br><br>&amp;#xa;&amp;#xa;<p><span><b>About Rackspace Technology</b></span></p><br><br><p><span>We are the multicloud solutions experts.
