Responsibilities JOB PURPOSE As part of the sales team the primary role of this position is to maximize our on-shelf presence in all outlets served by the merchandiser. Additionally, when required the merchandiser will conduct in-store sampling sessions and in-store sampling and/or promotions. Planograms must be adhered to for both on and off shelf displays. Any non-compliance to the agreed arrangements must be reported to the pre-seller immediately. In addition to these duties the merchandiser is required to supply the pre-seller with the latest market information in order to take advantage of any selling opportunities. Accountabilities: Call on specific OT outlets as per daily journey plan provided by your supervisor. Merchandize SSFL products within your OT stores in the various access points, shelf, stand, floor display. Place POS material wherever applicable next to our SSFL displays. Ensure all access points are merchandized as per approved planograms. Rotate product using FIFO method, and remove sub-standard products. Maintain clean and fresh stock of SSF products on the shelf at all times. Monitor and report competitive activities. Report any deviations from agreed terms with your assigned OT customer / outlet. Report daily activities of the prior day to your supervisor. Participate in sampling / redemption campaigns when required. Maintain appropriate personal appearance, and professional behavior in line with Frito Lay code of conduct. Key Performance Measures: Execution Standard. LTA enforcement. Journey plan adherence. <p><strong>JOB DESCRIPTION – Casting Machine Operator</strong></p><p>Department: Pipe Casting / Production</p><p>Industry: Ductile Iron Pipe Manufacturing</p><p>Reports to: Casting Supervisor / Production Engineer</p><p>Shift: Rotational</p><br><p><strong>Job Purpose</strong></p><p>To operate and monitor the centrifugal casting machines used to produce ductile iron pipes, ensuring correct mould preparation, metal pouring, cooling, extraction, and continuous casting performance with high safety and quality standards.</p><p><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><br><p><strong>Casting Machine Operation</strong></p><ul><li><p>Operate horizontal centrifugal casting machines as per production schedule.</p></li><li><p>Hot mould -- Prepare molds: cleaning, coating application, drying, and preheating.</p></li><li><p>Ensure proper alignment, speed settings (RPM), and cycle parameters for each pipe size.</p></li><li><p>Receive molten metal from the furnace and coordinate safe, controlled pouring.</p></li><li><p>Monitor casting cycle: pouring, rotation, solidification, cooling water flow, and mold extraction.</p></li><li><p>Remove cast pipes using hydraulic/mechanical ejectors and transfer systems.</p></li></ul><br><p><strong>Process Monitoring & Control</strong></p><ul><li><p>Check casting temperature, pouring time, and rotation speed.</p></li><li><p>Monitor mold coating thickness, wear, and coating consistency.</p></li><li><p>Adjust water cooling flow rate according to pipe size and recipe.</p></li><li><p>Report abnormalities such as incomplete solidification, blowholes, cracks, or poor coating adhesion.</p></li></ul><br><p><strong>Equipment Inspection & Routine Maintenance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Inspect molds, machine, runner, hopper bearings, coating and hydraulic units before start-up.</p></li><li><p>Check machine lubrication, hydraulic pressure, and line alignment.</p></li><li><p>Change the mould whenever required.</p></li><li><p>Assist maintenance technicians during breakdowns and preventive maintenance.</p></li><li><p>Keep casting machine area clean and safe from spills, metal scrap, and coating material.</p></li></ul><br><p><strong>Quality Control</strong></p><ul><li><p>Conduct visual inspection of cast pipes for defects (surface, thickness, blowholes, shrinkage).</p></li><li><p>Measure pipe wall thickness using gauges and verify against standards.</p></li><li><p>Ensure pipe weight and dimensions meet production specifications.</p></li><li><p>Coordinate with QC and metallurgy departments for sample testing (hardness, microstructure, chemistry).</p></li></ul><br><p><strong>Safety & Compliance</strong></p><ul><li><p>Follow all safety procedures related to molten metal handling and casting equipment.</p></li><li><p>Wear mandatory PPE: heat-resistant clothing, gloves, helmet, safety boots, face shield.</p></li><li><p>Ensure all machine guards, interlocks, and emergency stops function properly.</p></li><li><p>Participate in safety training, 5S, and ISO compliance activities.</p></li></ul><br><p><strong>Documentation & Reporting</strong></p><ul><li><p>Maintain daily shift logs: production, defects, machine parameters, and downtime.</p></li><li><p>Report casting failures, coating issues, or machine malfunction to the supervisor.</p></li><li><p>Assist in preparing daily/weekly production reports.</p></li></ul><br><p><strong>Skills & Competencies Required</strong></p><ul><li><p>Knowledge of ductile iron centrifugal casting operations.</p></li><li><p>Able to handle multi task / more than one function .
