Working as the on-site technical liaison between the client and the global office, the engineer ensures the stability, security, and compliance of the client’s Active Directory environment while executing planned modernization work (such as forest consolidation, domain migration, schema upgrades, and security hardening) in parallel with business-as-usual operations. Key Responsibilities Operational Stability & Health Management (Daily / Weekly) Monitor Active Directory health, including replication, FSMO roles, SYSVOL, event logs, and domain controller performance. Perform daily health checks (DCDIAG, REPADMIN, NETDIAG) and carry out proactive remediation. Manage DNS hygiene, including scavenging, stale records, and DNSSEC where used. Manage time synchronisation, ensuring the PDC emulator points to a reliable NTP source. Ensure backup success (system state and full forest) and periodically test restores. Apply OS, security, and AD cumulative updates during approved maintenance windows. Support the “Change” Initiative (Project Mode, in parallel with BAU) Participate in joint planning with the global office and local bank teams to define the change (e.g., forest consolidation, domain migration, schema upgrade, security overhaul, site topology redesign). Enforce Kerberos AES encryption, restrict NTLM, and enable LDAP signing and channel binding. Manage and rotate service account credentials (LAPS for local admins, g MSA for services). Assist with privileged access management (PAWs, JIT, break-glass accounts). Ensure audit policies forward logs to the SIEM (Splunk, Sentinel, QRadar) and investigate anomalies. Collaboration with the Global Office Act as the technical liaison between the global AD team and local bank operations. Participate in security incident response where AD compromise is suspected (e.g., golden ticket, DCSync attacks). Documentation & Knowledge Transfer (Local team and global office) Maintain living documentation: AD topology, domain controller inventory, FSMO locations, site links, GPO inventory, privileged group memberships, and service account lists. Document all changes performed during the major change initiative, including before / after states. Produce troubleshooting runbooks for common AD issues tailored to the bank’s environment. Provide training sessions for local junior admins and global office teams as needed. Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Maintain and test AD forest recovery procedures. Ensure backup integrity and off-site / air-gapped copies for ransomware resilience. Participate in annual DR drills with global and local teams. Reporting & Metrics Provide status reports to the local IT manager and global office as required, covering health metrics, change progress, security findings, incidents, and planned activities. Our experienced team of global security professionals helps businesses understand their risks and build resilience from the inside out, giving them the confidence to focus on what matters most: innovation and business growth.</p><br><br><br><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><br><br><ul><li><p>Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze requirements for Digital Identity services including Privileged Access Management using Delinea, authentication services using FortiAuthenticator, Identity Access Management using One Identity, Multifactor Authentication using Microsoft Azure MFA, and directory services including Microsoft Active Directory and DNS.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Build policies, processes, and frameworks related to digital identity and access services such as privileged access lifecycle management, identity lifecycle management, access requests, authentication, authorization, and auditing of permissions.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Conduct assessments of clients’ existing Digital Identity processes, systems, and controls across Delinea, One Identity, Azure MFA, and Microsoft Active Directory to identify gaps and areas for improvement.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Work with clients to develop Digital Identity strategies, architectures, and implementation plans covering PAM, IAM, MFA, and directory services.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Define technical and business requirements for Digital Identity solutions leveraging Delinea PAM, One Identity IAM, Microsoft Azure MFA, FortiAuthenticator, and Microsoft Active Directory/DNS. Advise on the implementation of new Digital Identity features tailored to the specific environment, including privileged access controls, strong authentication mechanisms, and directory integrations.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Establish the link between the Digital Identity team and business stakeholders, capturing evolving requirements and communicating the Digital Identity roadmap.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Focus on the efficient deployment, roll-out, and transition of new features and versions of Digital Identity platforms.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Configure and customize Privileged Access Management (Delinea), Identity Access Management (One Identity), Multifactor Authentication (Microsoft Azure MFA and FortiAuthenticator), and Active Directory/DNS to align with business processes and security policies.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Develop and implement access control policies, privileged roles, authentication rules, and entitlements to ensure appropriate levels of access across systems and applications.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Provide guidance and expertise on best practices for privileged access management, identity lifecycle management, multifactor authentication, directory services, role-based access control, and compliance reporting.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security, IT, and compliance to integrate Digital Identity services into client environments.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Provide training and support to client teams to facilitate adoption and ongoing management of Digital Identity solutions.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Interact with vendors and service providers including Delinea, Microsoft, and One Identity to address contractual and technical matters related to Digital Identity platforms.</p><br><br></li><li><p>Prepare updates and reports to management.</p><br><br></li></ul><br><br><br> </div><h2 data-automation-id="subHeaderPreferredCandidate" class="h5">
