This role requires an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in both the <b>design and construction phases</b> of large-scale projects, capable of leading multidisciplinary teams and resolving complex technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will be a recognized technical leader, offering strategic direction, engineering excellence, and client-focused solutions while supporting business growth and project delivery objectives. Preference will be given to candidates with experience delivering <b>public venues, amphitheatre facilities, performance venues, stadiums, or similar complex assembly buildings</b>.</p> <p> </p> <p> <b>Your Role</b> </p> <p> <b>Sector Experience</b> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Proven track record in the design and delivery of major multidisciplinary projects, including complex buildings and long-span structures.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience working on public venues, amphitheatres, theatres, cultural facilities, stadiums, convention centres, or similar complex environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong understanding of multidisciplinary coordination across structural, architectural, MEP, infrastructure, acoustics, specialist systems, and venue operations.</p> </li> <li> <p>Demonstrated experience managing technical interfaces throughout both design and construction stages.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven ability to solve complex engineering and technical challenges while maintaining programme, cost, and quality objectives.</p> </li> </ul> <p> <b>Strategic Leadership</b> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Contribute to the development and implementation of the technical and operational strategy for major projects and programmes.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide technical leadership and oversight across multidisciplinary design and construction teams.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support the alignment of project objectives with business goals, client requirements, and delivery strategies.</p> </li> <li> <p>Promote a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across all project activities.</p> </li> <li> <p>Act as a trusted technical advisor to clients, project leadership teams, and internal stakeholders.</p> </li> </ul> <p> <b>Technical Leadership &amp; Engineering Excellence</b> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Serve as the technical authority for complex engineering solutions, design reviews, and technical governance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Lead technical decision-making on major multidisciplinary projects and ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.</p> </li> <li> <p>Review and challenge design solutions to optimize performance, constructability, safety, operational functionality, and lifecycle value.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide expert guidance on long-span structures, complex building systems, and specialist venue requirements.</p> </li> <li> <p>Apply strong analytical skills to identify risks, assess alternatives, and develop practical technical solutions.</p> </li> <li> <p>Manage and resolve technical issues during design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover stages.</p> </li> </ul> <p> <b>Design Management &amp; Coordination</b> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead multidisciplinary design integration across architectural, structural, MEP, infrastructure, and specialist disciplines.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure successful coordination between internal teams, external consultants, contractors, and specialist suppliers.</p> </li> <li> <p>Oversee design reviews and technical assurance processes to maintain quality and compliance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Drive best practices in digital delivery, BIM implementation, and multidisciplinary coordination.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ensure design outputs meet client expectations, operational requirements, and project objectives. </p> </li> </ul> <p> <b>Project Management</b> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Support the successful delivery of projects from concept development through construction and handover.</p> </li> <li> <p>Monitor technical performance, programme milestones, and project delivery risks.</p> </li> <li> <p>Provide technical input to project budgets, schedules, procurement strategies, and resource planning.</p> </li> <li> <p>Maintain commercial awareness with an understanding of change control, risk management, and project governance.</p> </li> <li> <p>Support delivery teams in achieving client satisfaction and project profitability objectives.</p> </li> </ul> <p><br></p><ul><li> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> <b>About You</b> </p> <p> </p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Structural, Civil, Mechanical, Building Services, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.</p> </li> <li> <p>Master's degree preferred.</p> </li> <li> <p>Professional Engineer (PE), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or equivalent professional registration is required.</p> </li> <li> <p>Minimum 15+ years of post-graduate engineering experience, including significant experience leading multidisciplinary design and construction teams.</p> </li> <li> <p>Extensive experience on major projects involving complex buildings, public venues, cultural assets, amphitheatres, stadiums, or long-span structures.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong technical knowledge across multidisciplinary engineering design and construction processes.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven ability to analyse, manage, and resolve complex technical challenges.</p> </li> <li> <p>Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary coordination and technical leadership.</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery, risk management, and change control.</p> </li> <li> <p>Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills.</p> </li> <li> <p>Ability to build strong relationships internally and externally while acting as a trusted technical advisor.</p></li></ul></div></section>
