The role focuses on repairing battle-damaged vehicles and requires strong experience in heavy-plate welding, structural fabrication, and vehicle body repairs.<br>Key Responsibilities• Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and ballistic steel.• Fabricate and repair armoured vehicle hulls, chassis, turrets, doors, hatches, body panels, brackets, and other structural components.• Cut, shape, prepare, and join metal components using plasma cutters, grinders, drills, and fabrication tools.• Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, blueprints, and welding symbols.• Repair and reinforce HGV chassis, suspension mounts, and load-bearing structures.• Conduct visual inspections and support Non-Destructive Testing activities, including Radiographic Testing (RT) and Penetrant Testing (PT).• Ensure completed work meets strict military, quality, and structural integrity standards.• Maintain accurate records of completed work, materials used, and working hours.• Follow all workshop health, safety, and PPE requirements.• Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized.
