Role Overview: The QC Electrical Engineer is responsible for implementing and monitoring quality control activities for High Voltage (HV) / Extra High Voltage (EHV) Underground Cable (UGC) projects in Saudi Arabia. The position ensures that all electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities comply with approved drawings, project specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards.<br>Key Responsibilities:QC Inspection & Site Oversight: Implement and monitor the Project Quality Plan and ITPs. Conduct inspections for HV/EHV cable laying, pulling, jointing, termination, bonding, and earthing. Prepare, coordinate, and process Inspection Requests (IRs) with SEC representatives and consultants. HV Cable Quality Control: Inspect cable drums, accessories, joints, terminations, link boxes, and sheath bonding systems upon site delivery. Monitor bending radius, pulling tension, and cable spacing during installation. Testing & Commissioning: Coordinate, witness, and review electrical testing and commissioning activities for HV cables and associated equipment to verify adherence to SEC requirements and technical standards. SEC Compliance & Quality Administration: Ensure all electrical works meet SEC specifications. Handle Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), initiate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), manage root-cause analysis, and assist in compiling the final Quality Turnover Dossier.<br>Requirements & Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical QA/QC, with proven experience in HV/EHV Underground Cable projects. Mandatory Requirement: Valid Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) approval as a QC Electrical Engineer. (Candidates without SEC approval will not be considered). Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of XLPE Power Cables, cable jointing/termination, link boxes, sheath protection, IEC standards, and SEC procedures. Languages: Command of English (Arabic language skills are an advantage).
