BESTE is seeking a commercially sharp and technically credible Bit Sales Engineer to lead business development and account management for our Drill Bits product line across Saudi Arabia. You will be the face of BESTE with Saudi Aramco procurement and engineering teams, delivering technically compelling proposals that defend our performance record and expand our market share. This role demands equal fluency in drilling engineering and commercial negotiation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Revenue Growth
– Drive sales of BESTE's drill bit portfolio (PDC, Tricone, and specialty bits) to Saudi Aramco and associated IOC/contractor accounts.
– Develop and execute territory account plans, identifying new well programs, bit campaigns, and contract expansion opportunities.
– Lead commercial proposal preparation, tender responses, and pricing negotiations in alignment with BESTE pricing strategy.
Technical Selling & Customer Engagement
– Present technical performance reviews, bit design recommendations, and offset well analyses to Aramco drilling engineers and procurement teams.
– Build long-term strategic relationships with operator technical staff, procurement officers, and drilling supervisors.
– Conduct technology workshops, lunch-and-learns, and performance seminars to position BESTE as the technical partner of choice.
– Manage commercial disputes, review service quality incidents, and initiate CPI reports where tool performance impacts customer satisfaction.
– Serve as the escalation point for key account issues, coordinating rapid resolution between field operations and the customer.
Market Intelligence & Portfolio Positioning
– Monitor competitor activities, contract awards, and new technology introductions to inform BESTE's regional product positioning.
– Identify technology gaps or underserved segments in the Aramco bit program and work with engineering teams to develop targeted solutions.
– Provide market feedback to the product management team to guide portfolio development for Saudi formations.
– Collaborate with the operations team to ensure post-sale service quality meets or exceeds customer expectations and contractual KPIs.
– Provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence reports to the Country Sales Manager and leadership team.
– Mentor junior account managers and inside sales staff on technical selling, customer engagement, and proposal development.</p><p>– Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, or related discipline) or Business with strong technical fluency.
– 3–7 years of drilling industry experience, including a minimum of 3 years of proven Drill Bit sales, account management & commercial tendering experience.
– Demonstrated track record of closing deals, growing accounts, and managing customer relationships in the Saudi or broader Middle East market.
– Strong knowledge of PDC and Tricone bit technology, bit selection methodology, and drilling performance analysis.
– Advanced proficiency in English (written and spoken); Arabic is highly preferred.
