<p>Register and room all guest arrivals according to established procedures. Perform check in, check out and room change procedures and ensure all data are accurately entered into the hotel system. Maintain cashier float and ensure accurate daily report of all money received. Cash hotel guests personal and assist with currency exchange. Keep updated of all modifications to accounting policies and procedures. Attend to guests request of using the service of safety box at all times. Knowledgeable of all special promotion procedures for programs such as Seasonal Packages, Frequent Flyers Programs, and also Hotels Group Loyalty programs. Attend to guest s complaints, inquiries and requests, refer problems to supervisor/Assistant Manager if he/she unable to assist. Ensure that the guests depart the hotel with a positive impression of hotel service. Perform the audit balances and prepare all reports for audit in an orderly fashion. When on night shift, check night report, prepare morning report and prepare all necessary forms for guest arrivals. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of standard reservation procedures. Maintain exemplary department standards of behavior and appearance and attitude. Ensure front desk work area is kept clean and in an orderly state at all times. Is fully aware of the Credit policy. Adhere to policies and procedures. <p>The Shift Engineer is responsible for supporting the smooth and safe operation of the hotel s engineering and maintenance functions during the assigned shift. The role involves monitoring building systems, responding to maintenance requests, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring that all engineering operations are maintained according to hotel standards, safety requirements, and operational needs.</p><p><b><br></b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Monitor the operation of the hotel s electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and other engineering systems during the assigned shift.</li><li>Respond promptly to maintenance requests, equipment breakdowns, and urgent engineering issues.</li><li>Perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate corrective maintenance to ensure the timely resolution of technical problems.</li><li>Conduct regular inspections of plant rooms, equipment, public areas, guest rooms, and back-of-house areas.</li><li>Support preventive maintenance activities and ensure scheduled tasks are completed properly.</li><li>Monitor critical equipment and report any abnormal conditions, failures, or safety concerns to the Engineering management.</li><li>Coordinate with other hotel departments regarding maintenance requests and operational requirements.</li><li>Ensure guest-related engineering issues are handled promptly and professionally to minimize disruption.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdowns, inspections, and shift handovers.</li><li>Support the proper operation of HVAC, electrical, water supply, fire and life safety, and other building systems .</li><li>Assist external contractors and service providers during maintenance, inspections, and technical works.</li><li>Ensure all engineering activities are carried out in accordance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations .</li><li>Conduct effective shift handovers and communicate all pending issues and critical matters to the incoming shift.</li><li>Support energy and utility monitoring initiatives and report unusual consumption or equipment performance.</li><li>Perform any other engineering duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or Engineering Management.</li></ul><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering .</li><li>Fresh graduates are welcome to apply ; 0 - 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.</li><li>Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems .</li><li>Basic understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance .</li><li>Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and identify basic equipment faults.</li><li>Good knowledge of engineering safety procedures and HSE requirements .</li><li>Good command of English , both written and spoken; Arabic is an advantage.</li><li>Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office .</li><li>Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.</li><li>Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and night shifts as required.</li><li>Highly motivated, responsible, and willing to learn and develop within a hotel engineering environment.</li></ul>
