Consulting Webtoon & Anime Producer
South Studios | Remote / Project-Based
We're hiring on our flagship and first of it kind Webtoon x Music cross over project for Saudi and MENA audiences.
South Studios builds original IP from the Arab World for global audiences. Webtoon-first, anime-second, with a pipeline of live-action adaptations. Discover and join our flagship transmedia production launching in Fall 2026.
We are looking for a consulting producer who has done this before, someone who has shipped serialized webtoon content at scale, managed distributed art teams across time zones, and understands what it takes to take an IP from script to platform delivery.
What you will own:
Production pipeline oversight across storyboard, line art, color, lettering, and platform delivery Art team coordination with studios in Southeast Asia, Japan, and Europe Quality control across episode cadence and release calendars Direct collaboration with our IP development and script teams on production-readiness Input on transmedia packaging strategy where relevant
Who we are looking for:
You have produced or executive-produced multiple serialized webtoon or manga titles, at least one of which reached a significant reader base or was published as a Webtoon/Tapas Original or equivalent. You have built and managed art teams, not just supervised them. You understand the difference between a production that reads well and one that actually delivers on time, on budget, and with enough creative integrity to build a readership.
Bonus points if you have experience adapting IP into anime packaging, have relationships with platforms or studios, and think in transmedia terms rather than single-format deliverables.
Why this matters:
South Studios develops, produces, and manages original IP from the Middle East and Global South markets, built for Webtoon, Anime, Film & TV, and digital platforms globally. We are not a services shop. We own our IP, we manage our rights, and we are building toward anime greenlight on multiple properties. The person we bring in will have direct influence on what gets made and how it gets made, not just on execution mechanics. This is a consulting engagement on a funded project, not a full time commitment. Rate and scope discussed directly.
Apply: hello@southstudios.io | Reference: Consulting Producer | Webtoon Portfolio or Previous released Work required.
