<span>Over 100,000 merchants run their businesses on Salla, and our next phase is expanding across the GCC and beyond.<br> That expansion is not a copy-paste of what we built in Saudi Arabia.<br> Each market has different payment rails, regulatory requirements, logistics realities, and merchant expectations.<br> The product has to be adapted deliberately, not translated.<br> This role owns that work, and it is the kind of seat that usually doesn't exist: The product decisions that make or break a market entry run through one person.<br> You. You will make Salla work as well for a merchant anywhere in the GCC and beyond as it does in our home market: diagnosing where the product needs to change in each new market, deciding what gets built, adapted, or deferred, and driving the work from diagnosis to shipped improvement.<br> You will drive impact across three major domains: Activation in New Markets (signup-to-first-order friction diagnosed and closed, with payments and know-your-customer compliance as the primary battleground) Market-Specific Product Fit (payments, logistics integrations, compliance workflows, and localization that make Salla feel native, not imported) Expansion Infrastructure (the shared product primitives and playbook that make the third market entry cheaper than the first) Responsibilities: Own the product roadmap for expansion across the GCC and beyond, one market at a time, with a clear line of sight to subsequent markets.<br> Diagnose where and why merchants in each market drop off between signup and first order, and ship the product changes that close the gap.<br> Drive the payment and compliance product work per market: know-your-customer flows, payment gateway integrations, regulatory requirements.<br> Decide which parts of the core product need per-market adaptation and which stay shared infrastructure, and own where to invest.<br> Define and monitor the metrics that reflect real market progress: time to first order, activation rate by market, ninety-day retention, share of merchants expanding regionally.<br> Build the measurement framework from scratch where benchmarks don't exist, and separate real activation signal from noise.<br> Lead cross-functional work across engineering, design, operations, legal, and local market teams without direct authority.<br> Communicate tradeoffs, sequencing, and what is deliberately paused to protect focus.<br> Proven experience owning product for a market expansion or geographic rollout at a software, fintech, or commerce platform, ideally one requiring adapted payments, compliance, or onboarding across regulatory environments.<br> Deep understanding of merchant activation dynamics: diagnosing drop-off by market and the product changes that move activation rate in practice.<br> Payments and know-your-customer fluency as a product problem, not a compliance checkbox: gateway integrations, document flows, and their product implications.<br> Familiarity with Gulf market realities: payment methods, logistics infrastructure, value-added tax and commercial licensing, and how merchant behavior differs across the region.<br> Track record improving time-to-value in a self-serve, low-touch environment where the product does the onboarding.<br> Strong analytical instinct, comfortable building measurement for a market with no benchmarks.<br> Experience leading cross-functional work without authority over the teams involved.<br> Five or more years in product management, with meaningful ownership in an ambiguous or early-stage context.<br> Arabic fluency is a must; Gulf residency or prior regional experience is preferred over theoretical market knowledge.<br> Willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia.<br></span> </div><h2 data-automation-id="subHeaderPreferredCandidate" class="h5">

Language English — must read, write and complete technical documents in English. Iqama Valid & Transferable required About the Role The Senior Field IECEx Inspector leads day-to-day inspection execution in the field, performing Visual (V), Close (C), and Detailed (D) grade inspections of hazardous area electrical and instrumentation installations in accordance with IEC 60079-17:2023. This role works under the technical direction of the Lead IECEx Inspector, takes ownership of specific classified areas, mentors and checks the work of Field Inspectors, and contributes directly to NCR identification, close-out verification, and inspection record quality. The initial deployment covers the PP12 Expansion CCGT IPP Project (1,800 MW, Durma, KSA) spanning 14 classified hazardous areas from Zone 0 to Zone 2, covering natural gas, hydrogen, and diesel oil hazard categories. The Senior Field Inspector is expected to operate with a high degree of independence within their certified competency scope and to deputize for the Lead Inspector on routine area-level decisions when required. Key Responsibilities All responsibilities are performed in compliance with IEC 60079-17:2023, IEC 60079-14:2013, API RP 505:2018, and the project Hazardous Area Classification drawing, and strictly within the Senior Field Inspector's certified competency scope. 1. Document Review & Area Ownership • Review the Hazardous Area Classification drawing in detail for all assigned areas — verify zone boundaries, gas groups, and temperature classes before inspection commences. • Flag any discrepancy between the HAC drawing and site conditions directly to the Lead Inspector with supporting evidence. • Take ownership of one or more classified hazardous areas for the duration of the inspection program — plan the inspection sequence, equipment list, and required tools for the assigned area(s). • Brief assigned Field Inspectors on the day's scope, applicable ITP activities, and area-specific hazards before work begins. 2. ITP & SOP Application • Execute and oversee inspection activities strictly in accordance with the approved Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) — apply the correct inspection grade for each activity and verify that Field Inspectors do the same. • Identify and escalate any activity that falls outside the current ITP scope to the Lead Inspector before proceeding. • Apply and reinforce all approved SOPs in the field — cable gland inspection, conduit sealing checks, earthing continuity verification, and enclosure integrity checks. • Coach Field Inspectors on correct SOP application and correct any deviations observed during fieldwork. 3. Inspection Execution (Visual, Close & Detailed) • Personally perform and quality-check Visual (V) and Close (C) grade inspections across assigned areas — equipment certification checks, cable gland and gland-to-cable compatibility verification, bolt/fastener checks, and conduit sealing checks. • Use only Ex-rated or non-sparking tools when working within classified zone boundaries. • Perform Detailed (D) grade inspection activities within personal certified scope — including instrument testing, insulation resistance checks, and enclosure internal inspections, as authorized by the Lead Inspector. • Record all test results accurately and flag any reading outside acceptance criteria immediately. • Spot-check the work of Field Inspectors within the assigned area — verify inspection grade accuracy, photographic evidence quality, and completeness of inspection records before submission. 4. Non-Conformity Report (NCR) Management • Identify non-conformances during inspection and provide an initial classification recommendation (Critical / Major / Minor) to the Lead Inspector for confirmation. • Ensure all NCRs raised within the assigned area are supported by clear photographic evidence, equipment tag, area code, and relevant standard clause reference. • Conduct first-level re-inspection of rectified NCR items within the assigned area — confirm physical correction matches the reported corrective action before recommending close-out to the Lead Inspector. 5. Documentation & Records • Complete and review inspection record forms for the assigned area — ensure equipment tag, area code, ITP reference, inspection grade, result, and photo reference are accurate and complete for every item. • Consolidate and submit the assigned area's daily inspection records to the Document Controller within the same working day. • Maintain an area-level progress log — equipment inspected, NCRs raised/closed, and percentage completion — and report this to the Lead Inspector at the end of each shift. 6. Tools, Instruments & Calibration • Verify calibration status of all instruments used by the team in the assigned area before each shift — confirm calibration sticker, expiry date, and certificate availability. • Withdraw from service immediately any instrument found damaged, malfunctioning, or out of calibration, and notify the Lead Inspector. • Maintain accountability for tools and instruments issued to the assigned area team — ensure proper storage, handling, and return at the end of each shift. 7. HSE & Site Safety • Lead by example on all zone entry requirements — valid Permit to Work, active calibrated personal gas detector, and buddy system — and confirm compliance by all team members in the assigned area. • Confirm evacuation routes and muster points for the assigned area before any new work activity, particularly in Zone 0/1 areas. • Lead or contribute to Job Safety Analysis (JSA) briefings for the assigned area's daily activities — identify hazards specific to that area and confirm team understanding of controls. • Exercise stop-work authority for unsafe conditions observed within the assigned area and report immediately to the Lead Inspector or HSE Officer. • Ensure all team members in the assigned area comply with mandatory PPE requirements and sitespecific HSE rules, including heat stress management protocols during summer working hours. 8. Schedule & Mobilization • Complete all personal certificate submission, medical clearance, and site induction requirements before the confirmed joining date. • Confirm tool and PPE issue for self and assign Field Inspectors before first site entry. • Plan and sequence inspection activities within the assigned area to meet the overall project schedule — notify the Lead Inspector promptly of any delay, access obstruction, or resourcing issue. 9. Schedule & Team Coordination & Mentoring • Provide day-to-day supervision and technical guidance to Field Inspectors assigned to the same area — ensure work is performed within each individual's certified competency scope. • Mentor junior Field Inspectors on inspection technique, standard interpretation, and professional site conduct. • Report progress, findings, and obstacles to the Lead Inspector clearly and promptly. Escalate any conflict, safety concern, or scope ambiguity that cannot be resolved at area level. • Maintain professional conduct with site personnel, client representatives, and other contractors at all times.
