The Field Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant round-the-clock operation of the hydrogen production plant and all associated units. This role involves extensive field work, including equipment monitoring, routine checks, startup/shutdown activities, and first-line troubleshooting to ensure production targets are met.<br><br>Principal Accountabilities<br><br>Safety, Health & Environment<br><br>Maintain a safe & stable environment. Demonstrate leadership with all Company & Industry safe work processes to prevent all injuries. Ensure proper documentation is maintained for safety related activities. Strictly adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements, Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures, permit-to-work systems (Hot Work, Confined Space Entry), and safe work practices. Participate in and understand Process Hazard Analyses (PHA). Monitor and maintain safety-critical equipment and interlocks. Ensure compliance with process safety, MOC’s, and OPHR requirements. Be a certified first responder for plant emergencies, including firefighting, gas leaks, and emergency shutdowns (ESD). Operate firewater monitors and other emergency equipment. Ensure all operations comply with environmental permits. Prevent and contain chemical spills. Maintain constant vigilance for hazards. Ensure the safety of all operations personnel by utilizing the BHIG Basic Safety Practice program<br><br>Technical & Operations<br><br>Operate the Steam Methane Reformer based hydrogen plant with CO2 Removal section & CO2 compression, PSA with Tail Gas compression, Membrane Unit and related utilities as prescribed by the Work Instruction Procedures Operate the pipeline network to supply Hydrogen, steam and CO2 to customers’ pipelines safely and efficiently. Ensure BHIG standards, and global best practices for EH&S, productivity, reliability, quality, and overall customer services are met. Meet the customer’s requirements regarding safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility regarding product supply. Maintain customer communications and relationships at the ‘field’ level, ensuring customer demand rates are satisfied while maximizing the efficiency and profitability of the facility. Follow the Site Work Instruction Manuals for production & supply of Product H2, CO2 & Steam along with other operating and maintenance procedures and checklists to meet the customer’s satisfaction with safety, reliability, product quality, and flexibility of product supply while compliance with requirements. Constantly monitor all process variables (flows, temperatures, pressures, levels, analytical values) by regular field rounds. Conduct detailed and timely field rounds to inspect all equipment using sight, sound, smell and by monitoring local gauges and indicators. Make local adjustments to valves, dampers, and controllers as required to maintain process parameters within defined limits. Collect routine process samples from designated points. Execute the detailed start up sequence for the entire plant or individual units/loops form a cold condition, warm condition or hot stand by condition, ensuring a smooth & safe transition to full load normal operations. Assist in the commissioning activities of the facility. Actively participate in plant startup and shutdown sequences as per detailed procedures. Maintain constant communication with DCS Operator & Shift Supervisor, providing instructions for equipment adjustments, isolations and rounds. Liaise with the maintenance team to co-ordinate equipment preparation for maintenance (isolation, purging & blinding) and safe taking equipment back in line. Conduct detailed and accurate shift handovers with incoming operators, highlighting any abnormalities, ongoing work and special instruction. Maintain accurate and timely logs of operating parameters, significant events and production data. Fully accountable to ensure his logs are accurate. Identify the root cause of process deviations and equipment malfunction. Work with engineers to implement long-term solutions. Suggest and participate in operational improvements and de-bottlenecking projects to enhance safety, reliability and profitability. Ensure compliance with all CM, PM tasks & Environmental Regulatory requirements. Support and prepare for Shutdown Planning and Turnaround Planning. Provide coaching and motivation with the new joiner’s field operators. Provide operations support and participate in investigations and Root Cause Analysis to identify & implement sustainable corrective actions. Execute other duties as assigned by reporting managers in a timely and efficient manner. Execute operating directives from the Panel Operator to optimize plant performance.<br><br>Minimum Requirements And Qualifications<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in chemical, Mechanical, or Chemical Process Operations with 5 years’ experience preferred. An Associate Technical Degree (2-year certificate) will be considered based on years of experience and competence. Experience in Field Operation, with minimum of 5 years in SMR based Hydrogen or Ammonia or Methanol or Syngas plant as Field Operator. Strong understanding of SMR process, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, furnaces, and rotating equipment (especially compressors). Strong mechanical aptitude and practical troubleshooting skills. Wide technical knowledge in operations, engineering, and maintenance activities Ability to maintain high level of awareness and make sound decisions under pressure. Strong problem solving and diagnostic abilities. Clear, concise and effective verbal and written communication. Proficiency in English speaking and writing. Able to communicate between operations and maintenance teams. This role offers the chance to manage the end-to-end delivery of campus expansions, refurbishment, and fit-out programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to a high standard while supporting our mission to create excellent learning environments.</p><br><p>The Senior Project Manager will own the project lifecycle from planning and procurement through construction, commissioning and handover. You will work cross-functionally with academic leaders, operations, design teams, external consultants and contractors, and will be responsible for driving schedules, cost control, risk management and quality assurance in often complex, fast-moving settings. The is a key role, accountable for OT/ICS cybersecurity compliance strategy, execution, integrated testing and oversight of the team to deliver the cybersecurity scope to obtain the final compliance from permitting authorities in KSA.<br><br>The Cybersecurity Manager leads a functional team of cybersecurity engineers and professionals and also expected to manage and deliver the end-to-end scope of cybersecurity of the project with focus on proof-of-compliance, closure of design gaps, and implementing the cyber-risk assessment recommendations. The role provides cross-functional leadership and interfaces among Project Management, Process Controls, Digital Technology, Vendors, Sub-Contractors, consultants and end-Customer / Facility Operator (NEOM Green Hydrogen Company).<br><br>This role is based out of Duba, Tabuk Region, Saudi Arabia working on rotation of 8 Weeks ON / 2 Weeks OFF.<br><br>This position will be a site-based role with the below duties:<br><br>Revisit and strategize the implementation of the project cyber compliance roadmap at the current stage of the project; align to NCA ECC/OTCC and HCIS Sec-12 and Facility Owner’s policies. Chair the cyber oversight committee meetings; drive decisions on technology adoption and ensure the cybersecurity scope is implemented to the project needs and successful delivery for operations. Identify the scope matrix, test plan and procedures for the project scope and maintain the delivery and Stage-4 submission readiness. Ensure comprehensive oversight and execution of the cybersecurity scope for all DT (Digital Technology) and Plant Computing systems, coordinating with relevant teams to validate that security controls, compliance measures, and risk mitigation strategies are effectively implemented and maintained across these domains. Review and approval of Proof of Compliance (PoC) documents from vendors, sub-contractors and EPC team prior to submission to the Facility Operator (FO) and the Consultant for review. Lead the closure of Cyber Risk Assessment recommendations and ensure the design/contract gaps are also closed. Oversight on the implementation of DMZ engineering, cyber services integration, and hardening procedures at all network layers required for compliance submittals. Integrate cyber work packages and prerequisites into project schedule and ensure the readiness of HCIS Stage-4 milestone is in line with the project commissioning and start-up milestones. Accountability in definition and maintaining the deliverable list and proof of compliance, and their verification before transmittal to Facility Operator/Customer. Publish and maintain all required OT/ICS cybersecurity related plans, procedures that are required to be issued in the capacity of the EPC Contractor and Integrator. Lead vendor and sub-contractor coordination for their delivery of respective OT/ICS cybersecurity scope, their validation, punch closure and turnover for commissioning and start-up. Actively pursue technical rigor to bring consistency in technical solutions wherever possible to create uniformity in order will facilitate ease of maintenance of the project asset when handed over to Facility Operator (NGHC). Ensuring a proper handover and handoff to the facility operator including necessary training as identified and aligned in the cyber oversight committee liaise with the Air Products Subject Matter Experts (SME) as required to resolve the technical issues Maintain the alignment on the cross functional team and advise on schedule, budget impacts and change orders. Primary office base is project site office in Duba, KSA, with frequent travel to PWE sites (Solar/Wind/Transmission) and vendor locations as required. Site engagement is essential during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and CSAT phase of the project.<br><br>Minimum Requirements<br><br>Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electronics/Instrumentation/Automation preferred) or equivalent; advanced ICS/OT cybersecurity qualifications (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF).15+ years leadership in ICS/OT cybersecurity on CNI-class facilities (KSA preferred); proven delivery through HCIS Stage-4. Deep understanding of ICS architectures (BPCS/SIS/SCADA), DMZ (L3.5/L3.7), segmentation/firewalls/Panorama, SIEM/Splunk, USB gateway, Nozomi, MFA/jump-host, RBAC. Strong cross-functional interface background with Process Controls (PCE) and DT/Plant Computing. Working Experience in KSA regulations such as NCA ECC-1:2018, OTCC-1:2022 and cybersecurity aspects outlined by SAIS (Supreme Authority of Industrial Security). Technical fluency: DMZ design, firewall management (Panorama), SIEM/logging, anomaly detection, endpoint controls, and evidence workflows. Documentation: CSAT/POC packs, Aconex/OT workflows, checklists, inventories, submission quality. Preferred to have certifications such as ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert; CISSP/CCSP; GIAC ICS or any vendor-specific security (Palo Alto, Splunk).
