<p >The Senior Process Engineer – HYCO provides comprehensive technical leadership for ongoing plant operations and projects, spanning from concept development through commissioning and start-up. Reporting to the BHIG Engineering Manager, this role is central to leading asset management and productivity initiatives across all BHIG operating facilities in the Region. The incumbent will coordinate technical activities between site-based engineers and operations teams, ensuring the safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective production of hydrogen, syngas, CO, and CO2.</p> <h3 >Key Responsibilities</h3>
<ul >
<li >Act as the senior technical authority and subject-matter expert for HYCO process engineering across the Region.</li>
<li >Mentor and coach junior and site-based process engineers, providing peer review on key engineering deliverables.</li>
<li >Provide technical support for new installations, existing plant modifications, ongoing operations, and continuous improvement activities for BHIG and customers.</li>
<li >Ensure all activities comply with legal requirements, BHIG safety, and technical standards.</li>
<li >Provide technical support and safety leadership for Management of Change (MOC), Operational/Process Hazard Reviews (OPHR), PHA/HAZOP, LOPA, and other process safety initiatives.</li>
<li >Lead process engineering efforts to drive asset performance, reduce operating costs, and increase plant throughput through troubleshooting, efficiency studies, and project execution.</li>
<li >Apply process statistics and data analytics to detect performance drift, quantify variability, and validate implemented changes.</li>
<li >Develop, maintain, and validate steady-state and dynamic process simulation models using Aspen Plus and associated tools.</li>
<li >Offer expert technical support on heterogeneous catalyst systems used in HYCO/Hydrogen plants, including activity assessment, poison management, and change-out strategy.</li>
<li >Facilitate operational excellence through continuous improvement in plant productivity, reliability, quality, and cost.</li>
<li >Provide technical leadership in investigations and Root Cause Analyses (RCA) to implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.</li>
<li >Monitor plant production daily, driving asset performance to meet targets and maximize profitability.</li>
<li >Provide technical guidance to commissioning teams, supporting start-up and troubleshooting activities, including catalyst loading and reactor activation.</li>
</ul> <h3 >Qualifications and Experience</h3>

<li >A minimum of <strong >10 years of experience</strong> in process engineering, with a focus on industrial gas operations or related heavy industries.</li>
<li >Demonstrated expertise as a subject-matter expert in HYCO process technology.</li>
<li >Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers effectively.</li>

<p >This role provides day-to-day operational and technical support to Regional Sites, requiring systematic monitoring of plant performance to achieve production, energy efficiency, and reliability targets. The incumbent will collaborate with global, regional, and local process/production engineers, operations teams, project and design engineering teams, and process safety specialists.
