<br></span><p>The Pre-Sales Engineer is accountable for advising and coordinating with the Sales team on all technical issues related but not limited to account penetration strategies, pre-sales implementations, solution design and training. S/He is a technical expert building strong relationships with partners and customers and driving the business through multiple technical initiatives.</p><br>
<br><br>Main Duties and Responsibilities

<li>Act as a subject matter expert in technical/solutions design of the company products/services</li>
<li>Work with the Sales team to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies and achieve set targets</li>
<li>Create specific accounts for product(s), service(s) and sales plans pertaining to the company products/services</li>
<li>Collaborate with the Sales team in qualifying opportunities, supporting and advising on the technical aspect of the sales lifecycle including technical qualification, presentation of solution proposals and high-level designs and demonstrations</li>
<li>Run, manage and drive proof of concepts (POC) and request for proposals (RFP) and close opportunities from a pre-sales and implementation perspective</li>
<li>Build sound relationships with partners and customers in support of sales objectives;</li>
<li>Lead technical sales calls</li>
<li>Manage adoption, integration and value generation of offered products/services within the customer/partner business and related IT infrastructure</li>
<li>Complete required pre-sales documentations in a quick and accurate manner</li>
<li>Develop content, train and support partners and customers</li>
<li>Respond to after-hours support queries during assigned rotations and escalate issues if needed</li>
<li>Put available systems into practice (salesforce.com CRM for leads, opportunity and deal registration management) for output efficiency and standardization.</li>

<span></span><p><span><strong>Organizational Setting</strong></span></p><br><p><span>The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), through its Technical Cooperation Programme with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, provides technical and advisory support to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) and the National Centre for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification (NCVC) in the implementation of the Sustainable Rural Agricultural Development Programme (SRAD) and related initiatives. Under Component 9 of the SRAD Programme, which focuses on strengthening national capacities in the sustainable management of rangelands, forests, and natural resources, FAO supports the development of knowledge, monitoring systems, and technical tools to enhance evidence-based planning and decision-making.</span></p><br><p><span>As part of these efforts, FAO has supported the implementation of the National Forest Inventory (NFI) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which represents the first comprehensive national assessment of forest resources in the country. The NFI provides essential information on forest extent, composition, condition, biomass, carbon stocks, biodiversity, and forest health, supporting evidence-based decision-making, national reporting obligations, and long-term forest monitoring.</span></p><br><p><span>To support the completion, validation, reporting, and dissemination of the National Forest Inventory, FAO seeks to recruit an international National Forest Inventory (NFI) Expert.
