Data and ML Platform Engineer<br>Purpose of the Job To design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architecture that enable reliable, high-quality data availability across port operations. The role will be critical in integrating operational systems such as Navis N4 Terminal Operating System, IoT platforms, and enterprise systems to support analytics, reporting, and AI-driven decision-making across Group RSGT.<br>Reporting ToData Science Senior Manager Working Conditions Within the terminal – both indoor and outdoor.<br>Required Experience3–6 years of experience in data engineering or backend data systems. This role works across a Python/Django codebase with a strong backend lean most of your time on services, data, and integrations, while comfortably handling the front end when the feature needs it. The Marketplace is customer-facing, so fast, low-latency API response times are a core goal.<br>Key Responsibilities:Build, ship, and operate Django backend services and full-stack features. Own your work end to end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, production support. Build and maintain integrations with internal and external services. Write clear, maintainable code and contribute to the squad's technical decisions.<br>Qualifications: Mid–senior full-stack engineer, backend-strong, with solid Python / Django experience. 3–5 years of professional full-stack experience. Strong fundamentals: API design, data modeling, relational databases, testing. Comfortable across the stack — can build and debug front-end features when needed. Performance-minded: keeps API response times low through query tuning, caching, and profiling.
