Reporting to the Director of Operations, this</p><p>role ensures pitch quality, safety, and readiness for training sessions, match-days, and events, while maintaining compliance with SPL, Ministry of Sport, and applicable football regulations.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities:</p><p><br></p><p>1. Pitch & Playing Surface Management</p><p><br></p><p>• Plan, supervise, and execute maintenance programs for all playing and training pitches.</p><p><br></p><p>• Ensure pitch surfaces meet professional standards for performance, safety, and appearance.</p><p><br></p><p>• Monitor turf health, drainage, leveling, and surface conditions.</p><p><br></p><p>2. Match-day & Training Readiness</p><p><br></p><p>• Ensure pitches and surrounding areas are fully prepared for training sessions, matches, and</p><p>official events.</p><p><br></p><p>• Coordinate pitch readiness schedules in line with team training and match calendars.</p><p><br></p><p>• Support inspections and approvals by leagues and governing bodies.</p><p><br></p><p>3. Grounds Maintenance & Landscaping</p><p><br></p><p>• Oversee maintenance of all outdoor grounds, landscaped areas, and pathways.</p><p><br></p><p>• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic quality of external areas.</p><p><br></p><p>4. Team Leadership & Workforce Management</p><p><br></p><p>• Lead, supervise, and develop grounds-keeping staff and contractors.</p><p><br></p><p>• Assign duties, manage schedules, and monitor performance.</p><p><br></p><p>• Ensure staff are trained in safe working practices and equipment usage.</p><p><br></p><p>5. Equipment, Irrigation & Sustainability</p><p><br></p><p>• Oversee maintenance and safe operation of grounds-keeping equipment and machinery.</p><p><br></p><p>• Manage irrigation systems, water usage, fertilization, and turf treatments</p><p><br></p><p>• Promote sustainable and environmentally responsible grounds-keeping practices.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>6. Safety, Compliance & Risk Management</p><p><br></p><p>• Ensure compliance with safety standards, football regulations, and Ministry of Sport</p><p>requirements.</p><p><br></p><p>• Identify and mitigate risks related to pitch conditions and grounds operations.</p><p><br></p><p>• Coordinate with Safety and Maintenance teams to address hazards.</p><p><br></p><p>7. Planning, Reporting & Continuous Improvement</p><p><br></p><p>• Prepare maintenance plans, schedules, and reports on pitch conditions and readiness.</p><p><br></p><p>• Monitor performance and recommend improvements to grounds maintenance practices.</p><p><br></p><p>• Support budgeting and cost control for grounds-keeping activities.</p><p><br></p><p>Requirements</p><p>Qualifications & Experience:</p><p><br></p><p>• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Turf Management, Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field.</p><p><br></p><p>• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in grounds-keeping or pitch maintenance, preferably</p><p>within professional football or sports facilities.</p><p><br></p><p>• Strong knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems, and pitch maintenance techniques.</p><p><br></p><p>• Experience managing teams, contractors, and equipment.</p><p><br></p><p>• Familiarity with SPL and international football pitch standards is an advantage.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p><br></p>
