This role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure supporting Tier III and Tier IV data centers, with the ability to evaluate operational risks, develop procedures, and support clients across all phases of the facility lifecycle.</p><br><p>The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with critical electrical systems, operational best practices, electrical safety, switching procedures, energized work controls, and critical environment procedures. This includes the development, review, and validation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs), and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).</p><br><p>You will play a key role in reviewing electrical designs for operability, maintainability, reliability, and resiliency; supporting commissioning and operational readiness; and serving as a trusted technical advisor to clients. Experience supporting hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or mission-critical facilities in Saudi Arabia or the broader GCC region is highly desirable.</p><br><p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p><br><ul><li>Provide technical expertise for critical electrical systems, including utility service, MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, STS, ATS, PDUs, RPPs, busway systems, emergency generators, generator paralleling systems, BESS, grounding and bonding systems, protective relaying, and power monitoring systems.</li><li>Review electrical designs for operability, maintainability, reliability, resiliency, redundancy, and compliance with client operational standards.</li><li>Participate in design reviews, constructability reviews, commissioning readiness reviews, operational readiness assessments, project meetings, and technical workshops.</li><li>Evaluate electrical system performance, operational risk, redundancy strategies, switching sequences, failure modes, maintenance bypass arrangements, and reliability objectives.</li><li>Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for critical electrical infrastructure.</li><li>Review maintenance procedures, electrical operating practices, test procedures, switching procedures, energized work controls, commissioning reports, and operational acceptance documentation.</li><li>Develop, review, edit, and approve SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs, ensuring alignment with client standards, applicable codes, electrical safety requirements, and industry best practices.</li><li>Conduct technical reviews of procedures for operational accuracy, safety, risk mitigation, and alignment with actual facility configurations.</li><li>Facilitate procedure validation exercises, tabletop reviews, operational readiness workshops, and cross-functional technical reviews.</li><li>Support change management and operational governance programs related to electrical systems, switching operations, maintenance activities, and facility operations.</li><li>Verify that electrical systems operate in accordance with design intent, approved sequences, client requirements, and operational reliability objectives.</li><li>Prepare clear and technically accurate documentation, including engineering reports, risk assessments, operating procedures, technical evaluations, and review comments.</li><li>Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients and coordinate with engineering, commissioning, construction, contractor, project management, and operations teams.</li><li>Support business development activities by providing electrical technical expertise during client engagements, where required.</li></ul><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></p><br><p><strong>Required qualifications:</strong></p><br><ul><li>10+ years of experience in electrical engineering, electrical operations, commissioning, mission-critical engineering, facility operations, or comparable technical environments.</li><li>Minimum 5+ years of direct data center or critical facilities operations experience.</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.</li><li>Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure supporting critical facilities and Tier III / Tier IV data centers.</li><li>Demonstrated experience developing, reviewing, and validating SOPs, EOPs, and MOPs.</li><li>Strong technical knowledge of utility service, MV/LV distribution, <p>Job Purpose HanmiGlobal is seeking a highly qualified Telecom Engineer to join our program management and PMCM team in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will deliver program-level telecommunications and ICT engineering expertise and technical governance for a mega multi-work package land and infrastructure development program in Riyadh, delivered on behalf of a major government entity. You will be providing program-level technical expertise, engineering assurance, and collaborative oversight for reviewing and monitoring all telecommunications, ICT, and smart infrastructure designs across the program, ensuring all fiber optic networks, communication systems, and digital infrastructure submissions are fully integrated and compliant with approved standards, service provider requirements, and operational needs under the direction of the Technical Manager, while supporting the successful delivery of the overall development program. Assess fiber optic backbone networks, telecommunications duct banks, and network architectures for functionality, reliability, scalability, and maintainability. Evaluate smart city infrastructure proposals, intelligent systems integration, and digital infrastructure initiatives to ensure future-ready and scalable capabilities. Support the implementation of program-level technical governance and engineering assurance processes across all package submissions. Coordinate with the Technical Manager, Senior Electrical Engineer, and program technical teams to resolve interface conflicts and integrate multidisciplinary infrastructure designs. Evaluate the technical, operational, and lifecycle impacts of design changes and telecommunications-related Value Engineering proposals submitted by Lead Developers. Provide specialist engineering expertise during technical workshops, design reviews, and coordination meetings to resolve project implementation issues. Collaborate with Lead Developers, consultants, telecom service providers, and regulatory authorities to streamline network connectivity and secure authority approvals. Prepare technical review comments, engineering assessments, and executive summaries for the Technical Manager, PMCM Management, and the Client.
