Serves as a resource to healthcare providers in relation to technical and therapeutic aspects of Respiratory Care.</p><br><br>Essential Responsibilities and Duties<br><p>1. Performs respiratory care procedures (i.e. medical gas therapy, bland/medicated aerosol therapies, Broncho pulmonary hygiene) per established department policy and procedures.&nbsp;</p><br><br><p>2. Monitors patient responses and modifies therapies based on clinical/physiologic assessments and consultation with physicians.&nbsp;</p><br><br><p>3. Reads and evaluates physician’s orders. Recognizes and eliminates artefacts to produce meaningful diagnositc information which is presented to the physician for interpretation.</p><p><b>Essential Responsibilities and Duties</b></p><ul><li>Performs non-invasive cardiac investigations such as but not limited to ECG, Holter monitoring, stress testing, pacemaker and ICD analysis, blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography procedures including Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE), and Stress Echocardiography (SE).</li><li>Performs urgent procedures on critically ill patients portably on the wards, in the OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, ICUs, Emergency Room, and any other location as requested and as required.</li><li>Assists physicians with procedures in the OR, Cardiac Cath Lab, or any other setting as required.</li><li>Observes and monitors patients during procedures, notes signs of distress and/or medical emergencies, takes remedial action, and notifies the nurse and/or physician as necessary.</li><li>Produces meaningful diagnostic information, obtains measured and calculated data, and makes preliminary reports for review by the reporting physician.</li><li>Documents and logs all patient events and procedures.</li><li>Ensures a safe environment and safe operation of equipment. Monitors equipment and reports any hazards or needs for repair and maintenance to Senior Cardiovascular Technologist or Manager. Qualifications and Requirements<br>Nationality: Saudi Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field. Valid professional classification and registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS). Previous clinical laboratory experience is preferred.
