Your responsibilities as a Senior Marine Pilot: Conduct safe and efficient pilotage operations for vessels arriving, departing, shifting, berthing, and unberthing within JCPDI Port limits, associated facilities, and assigned offshore SPM locations. Provide professional navigational advice to vessel Masters and bridge teams to ensure the safe movement of all vessel types within the port and its approaches. Assess weather, sea state, tides, currents, traffic, and navigational hazards to determine safe operating parameters and support pilotage decisions. Work preparation includes identifying the scope of work, quantifying it, including type and length of cables, cable penetrations (MCTs) cable trays, generators, alternators, switchboards AC/DC motors, rewinding, A/C repair, instrumentation, automation, navigation, safety-Solas, ICCP cathodic protection. manhours breakdowns, total duration of repair, receiving client signatures on proposed diagrams, preparing the materials list, making the required requisitions, following up with the work in progress and closure of the work and related documentation. 3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Areas of Accountabilities (list up to 10 prime activities) (Describe concisely each principal work activity listed in logical order normally the list with include the most important duty first indicating important decision and recommendations made if applicable; start sentences with action verbs first)  Adhere to, reinforce, and promote IMI Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Policies.  Make detailed evaluations of repair specifications, itemizing man-hour requirements, total duration of repair, preparing the BOM, and where necessary requisitioning of materials (PRs), Inter-trade involvements, direct purchases.  Issue internal requests and follow up the progress of such assistance.  Ensure timely submission of proposals/drawings for approval prior to commencing the work.  Prepare drawings/sketches as per the identified scope of work, receive client signatures for the same and distribute as required.  Liaise with Ops project controls for information required/submittal  Assist in bid support as and when required  Prepare material lists necessary for execution of the jobs, assure availability of the materials either from Warehouse or by direct purchase  Prepare detailed job sheets for supervisors, records progress daily.  Prepare final work description including all supplies and man-hours used for approval by Section/Department Head Update the vessels files for E&I repairs. Job PurposeThe Assistant Boat Captain supports the Boat Captain in the safe, efficient, and professional operation of GALAXEA vessels across The Red Sea destination.
