<p>Avionics Maintenance Supervisor Grade: 7 Location: Dhahran, Saudi Arabia JOB PURPOSE BAE Systems is the UK Government s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. The Avionics Electrical Supervisor works in a highly challenging yet equally rewarding environment, playing a key role in generating aircraft for the RSAF customer. The role is therefore extremely high profile and involves interfacing with other departments and organisation such as Supply, Workshops, Quality, Product Safety, MODSAP etc. Work involves a balance between leading the resolution of complex Engineering issues and responsibility for team management including oversight of applicable rules and regulations.</p><p>JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES First Stage/Mandatory and Independent certification of completed tasks carried out by the Maintenance Team Technicians when required to do so, including Red-X clearance. Plans and co-ordinates, the scheduled maintenance activities both on and off aircraft to meet the aircraft maintenance programme and RSAF operation requirements. Ensures work is carried out in accordance with the approved data and standards and procedures detailed within the MOE. Prioritises tasks according to the shop and aircraft schedule. Monitors and provides daily updates of progress against the programme; these updates are via the agreed IT based application and verbal briefs. Highlights to the Team Leader/Maintenance Manager, issues likely to impact the aircraft programme. Ensures timely and accurate information is supplied when submitting AES, DDR and Technical Queries. Limits the requirement for overtime by effective planning and the use of flexi-time. Takes action to address poor performance and disciplinary matters. Has responsibility for ensuring the personnel he is supervising have the necessary knowledge and skills to carry out the task in hand. Provides sufficient direct supervision of personnel to ensure quality standards are maintained. Ensures strict tool control is carried out in accordance with tool control procedures. Investigates and provides reports on technical issues and accident/incident events. Ensures effective housekeeping programme is maintained. Plans shift patterns, ensuring manpower is utilised effectively. Manages sickness and absence in accordance with local policy. Prepares for and co-operates with all internal/external audits. Ensures that sound maintenance practices and documentation procedures are followed at all times. Before delegating any task, ensures all personnel are authorised/certified to accomplish the task. Ascertains that pre use checks are carried out as required, on the equipment used in the task he is supervising. Provides on-the-job theory and practical training. Promotes the personal development of himself and others. Assesses the competency of team personnel and informs the Team Leader/Maintenance Manager of any deficiencies. Certifies personnel for specific tasks when certified as a Work Place Trainer . Ensures accurate demands for replacement components/parts are placed as soon as possible. Ensures the required by and impact dates for demands are accurately recorded. Monitors the forecast date for demands in conjunction with the project plan and places on the critical list any that are likely to impact the programme. Highlights to the Team Leader/Maintenance Manager demands likely to impact the maintenance programme. Ascertains whether serviceable and calibrated test equipment is available for the planned tasks, and if not informs the Operations Team Leader. Establishes and maintains positive relations with TSS s internal and external customers. Ensure accurate information flow is maintained to and from designated area of responsibility. Ability to tow aircraft and supervise aircraft towing team.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p>A recognised qualification to NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level in a relevant technical discipline, or a technical apprenticeship, or suitable equivalent technical qualification acceptable to M&CA. Has extensive post qualification practical maintenance experience within operational flying aircraft environment supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training or experience on Tornado Avionics/Electrical system testing. Relevant type training ( Q Course) and equipment specific training if required. Leadership skills and proven ability to supervise all levels of engineering personnel. The successful candidate, Saudi or Expatriate must obtain Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership at the appropriate level, prior to starting the new role or commencing employment in KSA, SCE membership must be maintained throughout their employment in this role. professional and meaningful relationships with the project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are being satisfied.</span></li><li><span>Overseeing the contractor works on site to ensure project scope is met successfully.</span></li><li>Demonstrating experience managing multiple buildings or towers concurrently, preferably within hospitality or mixed-use developments.</li><li><span>Showing strong technical background in MEP systems, coordination, testing, commissioning and integrated systems delivery</span></li><li>Leading and manage the construction delivery of a cluster comprising mid-rise hotel towers from mobilisation through testing, commissioning, handover and close-out.</li><li>Providing overall leadership to the construction, MEP, architectural, structural, logistics, quality and safety teams across the cluster.</li><li>Coordinating all civil, structural, architectural, façade, MEP and specialist hotel systems to ensure fully integrated project delivery.</li><li>Using strong MEP expertise to oversee installation, coordination, testing and commissioning of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV and building management systems.</li><li>Ensuring construction activities are executed in accordance with the Contract, approved drawings, specifications, method statements, authority requirements and hotel operator standards.</li><li>Establishing and manage the construction strategy, sequencing, site logistics, access arrangements and deployment of labour, plant and materials across the project.</li><li>Monitoring construction progress against the approved baseline programme and implement corrective or recovery measures where required.</li><li>Identifying constraints, interface issues and potential delays at an early stage and coordinate their timely resolution.</li><li>Chairing construction, coordination, progress and interface meetings with contractors, consultants, designers, suppliers and specialist subcontractors.</li><li>Managing interfaces between structural works, building envelope, architectural finishes, MEP services, vertical transportation, kitchens, laundry and other hotel operational systems.</li><li>Ensuring MEP services are fully coordinated with architectural finishes, reflected ceiling plans, interior design requirements and equipment layouts.</li><li>Overseeing technical submittals, shop drawings, material approvals, procurement schedules and long-lead equipment deliveries.</li><li>Monitoring contractor and subcontractor performance, resource deployment, productivity and compliance with agreed construction targets.</li><li>Ensuring effective coordination between the six towers while maintaining consistent standards, processes and reporting across the cluster.</li><li>Reviewing construction methodologies, temporary works proposals, lifting plans, logistics plans and major installation strategies.</li><li>Maintaining strict oversight of health, safety, environmental and welfare requirements and promote a strong safety culture across the cluster.</li><li>Ensuring implementation of the approved quality management system, inspection and testing plans, mock-ups, benchmarks and corrective actions.</li><li>Coordinating the progressive testing, commissioning, systems integration, authority inspections and operational readiness of each hotel tower.</li><li>Managing phased completion, snagging, de-snagging, statutory approvals, operator inspections and handover activities.</li><li>Ensure timely completion of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, training records and other handover documentation.</li><li>Supporting the assessment of variations, claims, extension-of-time matters and contractor performance from a construction and technical perspective.</li><li>Preparing accurate progress reports, executive updates, risk assessments and recovery recommendations for senior management and the Client.</li><li>Building and maintain effective working relationships with the Client, PMC, supervision consultant, hotel operators, contractors and relevant authorities.</li><li>Mentoring and manage construction managers, MEP managers, package managers, engineers and site supervision personnel.</li><li><span>Ensuring lessons learned and best practices are consistently implemented across all six hotel towers.</span></li></ul> <br><strong>Qualifications</strong><br><p><span><span>To be successful in this dynamic
