Integrated Management Systems & Environmental Senior Specialist<br>Purpose of the Job<br>The Quality & Environmental Management Systems Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and continually improving the Integrated Management System (IMS) for a port and terminal operation in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. He/she will act as the owner of the management systems for the terminal, ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and standards, including those of Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) and the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC), while driving improvements in service quality, safety and environmental performance.<br>Reporting ToHSE Manager<br>Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities<br>1. Integrated Management System (IMS) – Ports & Terminals Develop, implement and maintain an IMS (Quality, Environment, Health & Safety) aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 for all port and terminal activities (marine, yard, gate, warehouse, maintenance, administration). Lead gap analyses, implementation and certification projects for new or existing terminals. Establish and maintain policies, procedures and work instructions covering cargo handling, vessel operations, stevedoring, equipment maintenance, marine services and support functions. Ensure alignment of IMS processes with port authority requirements, terminal concessions, licenses and permits.<br>2. Quality Management (ISO 9001) Ensure robust quality processes across the terminal (planning, operations, maintenance, customer service). Implement and maintain systems for nonconformities, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement. Define and monitor quality KPIs, such as vessel turnaround time, truck turnaround time, equipment availability, damage rates, and service reliability. Support operational teams in root cause analysis for operational incidents (cargo damage, service failures, delays) and implement corrective actions. Coordinate customer complaint handling and ensure timely, professional response to shipping lines, agents and cargo owners.<br>3. Environmental Management (ISO 14001) – Marine & Terminal Focus Develop and maintain the Environmental Management System for port and terminal operations in line with ISO 14001 and Saudi environmental regulations (NCEC and other competent authorities). Identify and assess environmental aspects and impacts related to vessel operations (ballast water, bunkering, emissions, oily water, waste from ships) and terminal operations (fuel handling, spills, stormwater, sewerage, waste management, noise, dust, energy use). Ensure compliance with environmental permits, licenses and reporting requirements issued by NCEC and other relevant bodies.<br>4. Occupational Health & Safety Management (ISO 45001) Maintain and improve the Health & Safety Management System for terminal operations in line with ISO 45001 and applicable Saudi OSH regulations. Lead and support incident/accident investigations, root cause analysis and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions. Ensure contractor and subcontractor compliance with terminal HSE IMS requirements.<br>5. Audits, Compliance & Certification Plan, coordinate and conduct internal audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 across all departments and shifts. Act as Lead Auditor and primary contact for external certification and surveillance audits. Liaise with MAWANI, NCEC and other authorities on matters related to MS compliance, inspections and audits. Support the planning of aircraft maintenance activities with the use of the Part M fleet daily direction documentation, specific responsibilities include the day-to-day assurance that aircraft allocated by the MOF meet the Part M direction, support to strategic maintenance planning and attending scheduled flying planning reviews. Compile and maintain aircraft statistics for Flying Hours, TS Typhoon usage including solo role, ground technical aborts, sorties, conversion qualification training for presentation, where required, to operations managers, fleet and the customer. Support the AMO s rectification activities by aiding with fault diagnosis, through pilot debrief and the investigation and analysis of maintenance data records through ESS; present these findings to the pilots in the daily MET briefs and when requested brief the TSC relevant department as well as the Typhoon Operations Team Leads and Manager. Present technical briefs on aircraft systems and maintenance operations issues, to the Sqn Cdr, trainee and instructor pilots when requested. Undertake aircraft related projects tasked by the Sqn Cmdr when agreed with the Maintenance Support Team Leader this may include supporting the customer with Unit Inquiries. Inform aircrew of aircraft serviceability states, flying requirements and limitations, and the locations and forecasts for completion of aircraft maintenance. Ensure that the daily and weekly flying programmes are entered on the Typhoon Engineering Support System (ESS). Ensure that the Flight Line Controller is fully aware of the following: Crew walk times. Take-off / Landing times. Any requirements for land away checks.
