We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. The Regional Head of Support Services is the senior Support Services representative in the region they are assigned to, Central, Western or Eastern Region. The Head of Support Services (HoSS) works as a member of the Business Services team with a key responsibility through the Head of Employee Support Services, to the Director Business Shared Services, for the direct and indirectly managed delivery of multiple service stream outputs at their respective location. In role there is a requirement to interpret business strategy and significantly contribute to the development & implementation of necessary Support Services and wider Business Shared Services, strategy, policy and procedures in order to support and meet the operational needs of the wider business now and into the future. At this level the role requires excellent and broad services knowledge and experience plus a detailed appreciation and understanding of the business, market and key competitors. The delivery of the role will typically be through both direct and indirect management of teams of services managers and professionals or is delivered as an individual contributor with significant subject matter expertise. The Regional Head of Support Services requires excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and management skills, including engagement at local senior leadership level, engaging as appropriate, on policy, process and outcomes within their region. The Regional Head of Support Services can be called upon to deliver services tasks and activities commensurate with their necessary skill set. The Regional Head of Support Services will use considerable experience and judgement to assimilate often conflicting inputs from a range of sources in order to make appropriate and timely decisions that impact positively upon business and employee performance within their region. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES <ul><li>The role has key accountability for the quality and timeliness of business services offerings delivered through service teams at each location and in accordance with the stated vision, mission and strategy of the function and agreed service level parameters. </li><li>Services cover medical, accommodation and workplace, as well as employee services, which are predominantly those services delivered to directly support the expatriate workforce and their sponsored dependants along with the associated complexities. Lead and manage critical aspects of Typhoon Technical Support Service (TTSS) related to data integrity and management. Primary focus will be on ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data within the Maintenix Integrated Maintenance Solution (IMS) and other related systems. Support the Technical Services Manager by overseeing data policies, assessing data change requests, and resolving data queries. This role requires strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high data standards and support the depth maintenance program. JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data within the Maintenix IMS and other related systems, supporting the depth maintenance program and satisfying data analysis requirements. Assess and manage Data Change Requests (DCR) and any corresponding changes in IMS or Engineering Sub System (ESS) to sustain Typhoon Reference Data throughout its lifecycle. Test and validate reference and business data changes before their implementation into the live IMS Maintenix system. Resolve reference data queries, define amendments, and issue new data, authorising manual or automatic script file changes as needed. Assess and compare data integrity relating to aircraft and component life data stored in separate sources, including ESS, Technical Publications, and IMS Maintenix. Analyse Technical Specialist Reports and data provided by the In-Service Data Management Team to identify adverse trends and recommend improvements. Maintain local processes and procedures related to ESS Data Integrity. Establish and maintain effective communication between the UK-based In-Service Support Team (ISST), In-Kingdom Industry Participation (IKIP), Typhoon Design Support Team, Typhoon Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO), European Industry via the BTSC at Warton, and the RSAF. Ensure that Technical Requests (TR) and other discrete tasks are satisfied within contracted KPMs. Prepare inputs to monthly and other TTSS performance reports, summarising TR activities, recording TR performance, and proposing potential improvements. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Typhoon IMS and ESS, providing technical advice to AMO, RSAF, and other TTSS stakeholders within approved data. Support TTSS data analysis, including from the In-Service Data Management Team, to identify trends in maintenance or operations and propose potential improvements. Provide structured on-the-job training, coaching, advice, and mentoring for RSAF and Saudi National Technical Specialists as required. RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION Essential: Extensive post qualification practical maintenance/CA experience supported by formal record, including a minimum requirement of 5 years within relevant CA environment. Substantial Typhoon Data (ESS or IMS) experience. Strong knowledge of Typhoon aircraft systems, and associated support products, with experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The Job Holder is to provide independent critiques on proposals and deliverables from suppliers, monitor and report on service performance across multi-disciplinary logistics delivery streams on a daily basis, proactively identifying root causes to issues that arise and work with all logistic services to implement changes that help rectify those issues in order to maximise fleet wide availability. The Job Holder will operate under the overall line management/direction of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) TyWSSM and the governance of the RSAF Directorate of Aircraft Maintenance (DoAM) and as such is required to work in accordance with the Plans and Procedures in which control how the RSAF DoAM operates. To also include but not limited to: ·Acting as deputy to the Typhoon Maintenance Lead as required. ·Coordinating and interfacing with the TSC, PC and MODSAP on all matters of RFL supportability, providing the interface with HQ RSAF Heads of Specialisation on all related policy issues, resolving areas of difference and providing advice on harmonisation strategies. ·To manage the configured baseline of the “in-service” standard of the Typhoon Weapons System and associated support capabilities in accordance with the Regulatory Framework for Logistics (RFL). ·Monitoring and reporting on the efforts of the Typhoon Weapon System Section in order to maintain operational capability of the RSAF Typhoon fleet. ·In conjunction with Typhoon Weapon System Section specialists, be able to assist the development and refinement of future support concepts and policies. ·In consultation with relevant staffs, prepare maintenance support input to requirements and programme management documentation, including statements of requests and work for future Typhoon support proposals. ·Acting as the Typhoon RTS point of contact within the DoAM, monitoring and distributing the RTS to all RSAF stakeholders. ·Acting as office coordinator for the production of reports and briefs on research and development topics, new programmes, safety and reliability subjects, as required. ·Accompanying RSAF officers to briefings and meetings, as required. ·Perform other engineering and administrative tasks as required by the TyWSSM or their deputy. ·To take ownership of their personal and professional development. ·To co-operate with Directors/Departmental Managers to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and to take reasonable care of themselves and others. ·To adhere to BAES Saudi Arabia Security policies and procedures and to ensure that Company assets within their charge are adequately protected. ·To manage and use the BAES Saudi Arabia resources both effectively and in such a manner as to minimise costs; and contributing to the achievement of agreed budgets.
