This role ensures guests receive high-quality instruction, guidance, and supervision across a range of water-based activities while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service excellence, and operational discipline. The Water Sports Instructor plays a key role in delivering memorable guest experiences within a luxury marine tourism environment, while supporting daily operations and equipment readiness.<br>Key Responsibilities1. General Responsibilities Deliver water sports activities and instruction in a safe, professional, and engaging manner. Provide clear briefings and demonstrations to guests prior to all activities. Supervise guests during all water-based activities to ensure safety and enjoyment. Support the Water Sports / Dive Center Manager in daily operational requirements. Maintain a professional appearance and uphold luxury hospitality standards at all times. Assist with equipment setup, breakdown, and general operational readiness.<br>2. Pre-Opening Support Assist in the setup and operational readiness of water sports facilities, equipment, and activity areas. Support cross-functional teams during the delivery phase to ensure operational standards and safety requirements are met. Contribute to the familiarization of activity locations, equipment, and safety procedures.<br>3. Operational Responsibilities (Post-Opening) Conduct water sports sessions including (but not limited to): kayaking, paddle boarding, snorkeling, wake activities, and other approved marine activities. Ensure all guests are properly fitted with equipment and briefed on safety procedures. Monitor environmental and weather conditions to ensure safe activity delivery. Maintain and inspect all water sports equipment to ensure safety and functionality. Report and escalate any equipment damage or safety concerns immediately. Provide exceptional guest service and ensure a high-quality, enjoyable experience. Assist in organizing daily activity schedules and guest allocations. Support inventory tracking and basic equipment maintenance records.<br>4. Health, Safety, Environment & Quality Ensure safety is the highest priority in all water sports activities. Enforce compliance with all safety protocols, risk assessments, and emergency procedures. Conduct regular equipment checks and ensure all gear is safe for use. Promote environmental awareness and responsible use of marine environments. Ensure adherence to company and regulatory safety standards at all times.<br>5. Policies, Procedures & Reporting Follow all company policies, SOPs, and operational guidelines. Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, and equipment usage where required. Report any operational issues, guest concerns, or safety risks promptly to management.<br>6. Continuous Improvement Contribute to the improvement of guest experience, safety practices, and operational efficiency. Support the development of new water sports experiences and activity offerings. Participate in training and upskilling programs as required.<br>Job Requirements Qualifications & Experience Certification in water sports instruction or lifeguarding (e.g., ISA, RYA, ISA Watersports, or equivalent). Previous experience in water sports instruction, marine tourism, or resort operations. Strong understanding of water safety, rescue techniques, and risk management. Experience working in hospitality or guest-facing environments is preferred. First Aid and CPR certification (valid and up to date).<br>Core Competencies Strong communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage. Excellent guest service mindset with a proactive, “can-do” attitude. High level of responsibility and commitment to safety. Ability to work in dynamic outdoor and marine environments. <p>Essential Responsibilities and Duties 1. Organizes workflow and day-to-day operations of the subsection. Ensures all work to be completed and reported promptly. Assigns staff to maximize efficiency and productivity. 2. Disseminates appropriate information to subordinates. Maintains the computerized Laboratory Information Systems for the subsection. 3. Ensures that optimum levels of supplies are available to provide uninterrupted services; maintains an ordering and supply inventory system. 4. Assists in development of new methodologies and the evaluation of new equipment. Updates policy and procedure manuals in accordance with specified guidelines. 5. Performs analyses, tests, and procedures as per established laboratory standards, maintaining quality control of the subsection. Participates in the Quality Assurance programs of the section. Investigates incident reports and implements associated corrective action. 6. Maintains equipment repair logs and equipment operation, maintenance, and re air records of subsection. 7. Assists section supervisor in on-going employee performance appraisal. Counsels subordinates to improve performance. 8. Orients, trains, provides continuing education, and guides lower graded personnel, other laboratory and healthcare personnel, students, and residents. Assists the section supervisor in evaluation of potential employment candidates. Implements and maintains appropriate laboratory safety procedures and practices. 9. Performs technical duties as assigned including weekends, night shifts, and on call coverage. 10. Comply with the section policies, procedures and protocols and follow the section quality improvement program in accordance with CBAHI, JCI, CAP, SFDA and other accreditation agencies standards.</p><p><strong>Desired Candidate Profile</strong></p><p><strong>Education</strong> Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences is required.</p><p><strong>Experience</strong> Required Grade 09:Two (2) years of related experience with Master's or four (4) years with Bachelor's Degree is required. Grade 10: ? Four (4) years as Senior Medical Technologist at KFSH&RC or (Grade 09) of related experience is required. ? Formerly NOMAC (The First National Operations & Maintenance Company), we are the operations and maintenance arm of Acwa, focused on keeping power generation and water desalination assets running safely, reliably and cost-effectively across their full lifecycle. Since 2005, we have partnered with clients across the Middle East, Africa and Asia to support complex infrastructure that powers communities and sustains economies.<br>Qassim 1 Independent Power Project with a capacity of 1,800 MW is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine IPP that is developed by ACWA Power in Al-Qassim region of Saudi Arabia. ACWA Power and the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) have signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the Development, Financing, Build, Own and Operate of a 1,800 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant. Saudi Power Procurement Company acting as the sole off-taker for this project. Lead the Operational management meetings so that the entire team is clear on the production standards required and the operations programs that are underway. Review the long-term equipment and operating performance characteristics and provide technical recommendations to improve the reliability of the equipment and overall efficiency of the operations processes. Ensure all safety protective device tests on critical equipment are carried out successfully on regular basis, to ensure protective continuity testing in Compliance with International Safety Standards. Maintenance and Outage Support:Together with Maintenance department, plan and facilitate the implementation of planned preventative and corrective maintenance programmes, ensuring timely repair of critical equipment so as to minimize downtime and forced outages. Work with the Maintenance team, for the safe execution of the planned outages for the major operating facilities/equipment on site and provide support during the shutdown and re-starting of equipment, as needed, to ensure the EHS, scope, cost, and timeline objectives are met. Plant Chemistry and Laboratory Management:Oversee and monitor the setting of production parameters and adjust production conditions during operation to ensure quality and efficiency. Oversee the laboratory activities and ensure the testing is in accordance with regulatory requirements, procedures, schedules, budgeted costs and quality standards. Health, Safety, Security & Environment:Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude. Report and respond to HSSE incidents using the established emergency communication channels and protocols, to minimize the impact of the hazard. Together with HSE department, ensure that safety rules and regulations are fully explained to plant employees / contractor staff and appropriate safety and protective equipment are worn; safety notices are prominently displayed in all work areas and that all accidents and incidents are efficiently investigated and analysed whilst ensuring that measures are implemented to avoid any recurrence. Monitor and ensure that ERT teams are readily available and evaluate their performance at regular intervals especially during the drills, to ensure they are complying with the HSSE practices and procedures. Inventory and Services Management:Oversee the performance of all contracts and contractor arrangements that impact plant operations to ensure quality and cost-effective service delivery. Lead the effective inventory management of operations related consumables, chemicals, and equipment and ensure raising of requisitions and purchase orders for the timely replenishment of stock to fulfil plant operational requirements. Integrated Management System Implementation:Implement IMS objectives and programs in the department and provide assistance during the IMS audits to effectively implement corrective actions and update relevant Operation’s policies and procedures, based on the recommendations. Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures:Develop and ensure the implementation of Operation’s department work instructions, policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of department activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service. Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities of improvement and contribute to Operational change initiatives, programmes and projects considering best practice and standards in the business environment. <p>Support the implementation of the Project HSE Plan, procedures, and site safety requirements. Conduct routine site safety inspections and safety walks under the direction of senior HSE personnel.
