This role oversees multiple projects from pre-construction through commissioning, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and utility-specific specifications. The position will interface with owners, utilities, EPC partners, contractors, engineers, and regulatory agencies, and will provide leadership to field construction teams across multiple concurrent projects.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>Project & Construction Management</p><ul><li>Lead the construction execution of utility compounds projects (transmission, distribution, substations, underground/overhead systems) from notice to proceed through turnover.</li><li>Develop and manage detailed construction execution plans, phasing, sequencing, and site logistics to optimize safety, schedule, and cost.</li><li>Oversee daily construction activities, including civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical work, ensuring adherence to design documents, utility standards, and contract requirements.</li><li>Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project controls to support an integrated EPC/project delivery approach.</li><li>Review IFB/IFC drawings, constructability, and specifications; The role ensures visibility of programme progress, cost trends, risks, and consultant/contractor performance to support informed decision-making by Petromin leadership. The role acts as the central control function for the project, validating inputs received from consultants and contractors, identifying risks and deviations, and ensuring alignment with project timelines and objectives. The role operates independently of ERP systems and establishes standalone reporting frameworks for project governance.<br>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIESDevelop and maintain the integrated master programme covering all project phases including planning, early works, and execution. Track and monitor project milestones, identify slippages, and assess recovery risks. Independently review consultant and contractor schedules for logic, credibility, and alignment with project objectives. Establish and maintain cost tracking frameworks, ensuring early identification of cost deviations and trends. Develop and manage project risk, issues, and change registers in line with governance requirements. Monitor consultant and contractor performance against contractual obligations and project timelines. Identify and escalate performance issues, risks, and potential delays to GM NDM with clear recommendations. Prepare executive dashboards, reports, and decision-support materials for leadership. Ensure all reporting data is accurate, traceable, and aligned with project documentation and governance standards.
