This role is for a technical specialist who thrives in the field. You will be the bridge between the design intent of the studio and the physical reality of the construction site, ensuring that the intricate, high-quality finishes required for a major museum or theater project are executed to absolute perfection.
Key Responsibilities
* On-Site Design Authority: Act as the primary interior design representative on-site, interpreting complex drawings and ensuring the contractor adheres to the design intent.
* Quality Control & Compliance: Perform rigorous site inspections of interior finishes, joinery, and bespoke elements. Ensure all works meet the exacting international standards required for cultural assets.
* Technical Problem Solving: Rapidly resolve on-site clashes or technical challenges regarding materials, installations, or site conditions without compromising the aesthetic vision.
* Coordination: Manage the interface between the interior design team, the architect of record, structural engineers, and MEP consultants on-site.
* Documentation: Review and comment on shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups. Maintain accurate site records, RFI logs, and technical reports.
* Stakeholder Liaison: Provide regular progress updates to the Project Director and client representatives, ensuring transparency and quality assurance at every milestone.
