Job Title:CAFM Operator Department: Work Control<br>About the Role ESOM is seeking an experienced CAFM Operator to manage asset and maintenance information within the Computer-Aided Facility Management system. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate asset records, generating Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance work orders, monitoring work-order progress, coordinating with technical teams and the Help Desk, and producing accurate operational and client reports. Candidates must have experience working with CAFM or CMMS platforms. Hands-on experience with IBM Maximo is preferred; candidates with strong Maximo knowledge and relevant experience using another recognized CAFM/CMMS platform may also be considered.<br>Key Responsibilities Accurately enter, update, verify, and maintain asset, maintenance, and work-order data within the CAFM system. Generate and monitor Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance work orders in line with approved schedules and operational requirements. Coordinate with technicians, supervisors, managers, Help Desk teams, and other stakeholders to follow up on tasks and ensure timely work-order closure. Monitor CAFM dashboards, alerts, overdue activities, and data-quality issues, escalating concerns when required. The role includes ladle preparation, pouring box preparation, stopper rod fixing, nozzle setting, refractory maintenance, and ensuring safe pouring to produce the high-quality castings as per foundry SOP and safety standards.</p><p>Job Responsibilities Operational Duties Perform molten metal pouring using teapot ladle, stopper rod pouring box and slide gate ladle for medium to heavy castings. Prepare ladles before pouring, including refractory lining inspection, patch repair, and proper drying/preheating. Carry out nozzle setting, slide gate assembly fixing, and alignment to ensure smooth metal flow. Check ladle refractory condition, stopper head, slide plates, and seating area before every heat. Handle and pour various grades including alloy steel, stainless steel, carbon steel, and ductile iron. Maintain correct pouring temperature, slag control, and steady metal stream to prevent casting defects. Follow approved pouring sequence, heat number identification, and mould marking system. Monitor slide gate operation and metal level during pouring. Coordinate with melting, moulding, and quality departments for smooth production. Ensure strict adherence to safety procedures to prevent spillage and metal-related hazards. Maintain pouring and ladles and pouring boxes maintenance records.</p><p>Safety Responsibilities Follow PPE requirements (face shield, gloves, safety shoes, ear protection, Aluminized suit etc.). Ensure safe handling of heavy castings liquid metal using cranes and lifting tools. Remove slag from ladles and maintain housekeeping around grinding area. Report unsafe conditions, tool damages, or machine any abnormalities.</p><p>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) KPIs Pouring Operator Maintain pouring defects within limits. Achieve high RFT without rework. Control pouring temperature as specified. Ensure proper ladle preparation before each heat. Prevent slide gate leakage and nozzle choking. Minimize metal spillage and improve yield. Meet shift heat and tonnage targets. Maintain zero accidents and full PPE compliance. Reduce pouring-related downtime.
