Also ensures that all assigned projects work is executed safely, on time, and within budget in accordance with the contract and IMI's Management System. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES • Full knowledge, understanding and endorsement of all IMI HSES policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and certification requirements. • Installation of Electrical Equipment such as Switch board, Distribution Panels, Motors, Generators, Navigation, System, Communication System, Fire Detection System, circuit Breakers and transformers. • Installation of Power and control Cables, termination, Cable tray ladders, Cable glanding, Cable dressing & Cable continuity checking. • Installation of MCC, Multi cable transit (MCT) & Junction Boxes. • Installs conduit to bulkheads with brackets and screws, using hand tools, and threads wires through conduit to terminals, for example connection boxes, circuit breakers, voltage regulators, and switch panels. • Strips insulation from wire ends and solders ends to terminals, using stripping pliers and soldering iron. Connects power-supply circuits to radio, radar, sonar, fire control, and other electronic equipment. • Tests electrical characteristics, for example, voltage, resistance, and phase angle, in circuits, using voltmeters, ohmmeters, and phase rotation indicators. • Troubleshoots electrical equipment and circuits using appropriate test equipment to detect and effect required maintenance, repairs, or replacement requirements. • Performs maintenance and repair of generators, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, electrical motors, distribution panels, alarm and lighting circuits. • Conducts insulation resistance measurements of electrical cables to determine condition and effects repairs or replacements as required QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Education • Technical Engineering Diploma/Qualification, or higher. Construction Managers are responsible for construction of new Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Sortation Centers(SCs), Delivery Stations ( DSs), and auxiliary buildings that support those facilities as well as renovations & tenant improvements at existing buildings. Construction Managers will also handle the implementation of the facility network infrastructure; including The construction projects include new builds, retrofits, and expansions. Construction Managers are required to perform detailed deep dive reviews of job budgets and programs to identify and resolve any discrepancies, including information in contractor bid packages. Construction Managers will partner with internal customers and external stakeholders such as consultants and contractors to earn their trust and engage as a team to deliver the project in the most efficient manner. The Construction Manager will serve as Amazon's representative and direct point of interface with Developers and General Contractors, as well as the primary integrator between construction and other Amazon stakeholders responsible for equipping, furnishing, and operating our FCs. This opportunity combines construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management, and contract management. The role will be based in Riyadh, KSA with 40-60% of time traveling either domestically or to other MEATR countries. Key job responsibilities • Responsible for project management over new construction of Fulfillment Centers throughout the MEATR region as well as renovations and capacity improvements within existing facilities. • Advise on the impact of changes in schedule, costs, and permitting. • Support construction scope review and development with internal technical teams and operational customers to facilitate engineering and design efforts on new and remodel projects. • Responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, from relatively small renovations to large-sized ($100M+) new facilities. • Work independently in the assigned regional area with minimal direction from leadership. • Prepare reports, specifications, technical analysis to fully define the design requirements, equipment and services required on capacity expansion and remodel projects. • Negotiate contracts and contract changes with developers and General Contractors, and present formal documentation for approval when required. • Provide overall site management, coordination, planning, specification of business proposals, and coordination of subcontractors. • Assess project performance through Key Performance Indicators for safety, quality, cost, schedule, and sustainability. • Partner with teams tasked with transition of base building management and oversight of all turnover documentation. • Review of designs and ongoing construction for conformance to current building specifications. • Provide critical review of current design standards to identify value engineering and design enhancement opportunities to be considered by internal engineering and schematic design partners. • Receipt, review, and analysis of all proposed cost and time change requests as presented by external project teams. • Review and guide internally requested changes for validity, impact, and ensure timely and cost sensitive incorporation once approved. • Lead or assist in negotiations with appropriate regulatory bodies and Authority Having Jurisdiction entities as required. • Positive, clear, concise, and transparent cross team communication for all aspects of project delivery.
