Job Summary:The Linux & K8s and Backup Administrator is responsible for the administration, security, monitoring, and operational support of Linux systems, Kubernetes (K8s) clusters, containerized environments, and Veeam backup infrastructure. The role ensures system availability, security, performance, backup integrity, and disaster recovery readiness. Key Responsibilities:Administer and support Linux-based systems and services, including security hardening, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Monitor system health, logs, user activities, patch levels, and critical services. Perform patch management, vulnerability remediation, and configuration compliance validation. Administer and monitor Kubernetes (K8s) clusters and containerized environments. Validate Kubernetes cluster configurations, container images, and runtime security according to best practices. Monitor container activities, orchestration events, performance, and security alerts. Support the integration of Kubernetes and container environments with CI/CD pipelines, SIEM, cloud security controls, and centralized logging platforms. Perform vulnerability assessments and compliance validation for containerized workloads. Administer and maintain Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot backup jobs, replication tasks, and recovery operations. Perform backup health checks, capacity monitoring, performance optimization, and regular restore testing. Ensure compliance with backup retention policies and support disaster recovery planning and testing. Required Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.3–5 years of hands-on experience in Linux administration, Kubernetes/K8s, and backup administration. Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration, security hardening, and patch management. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments. Practical experience with Veeam Backup & Replication. Knowledge of vulnerability management, SIEM, centralized logging, CI/CD, and cloud environments is preferred.

Ensure that all the activities in the plant are performed in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the approved Standard Operating Procedures, quality standards, time schedules, and other operating requirements. Responsible for safe startup/shut down of the plant as per the Standard Operating Procedures.<br>ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIESComply with safety rules and regulations. Familiar with plant O&M agreements, P&IDs, SOPs, Work instructions, Operation and control logics, emergency operation procedures, as well as regulatory requirements and any other related documents. Ensure that the plant is operated to the established standards with minimum risk to men, machine and materials, comply with safety and environmental standards. Coordinate with all other departments all activities that are related to plant operations during the shift and comply with safety rules and regulations. Have a complete understanding of the permit to work system applied to the plant. Issue and cancel permits to work per authorization. Coordinate activities involving plant chemistry with the Chemist. Follow preset operational schedules to fulfill the targeted production availability safely and efficiently. Coordinate all activities or changes in plant status with operations manager. Make quick, on the spot decisions to correct abnormalities or disturbances. Take corrective actions during a state of emergency. Supervise the startup checklist, interlock checks, protection tests, non routine activities like preservation, acid cleaning etc. Upon authorization, issue work permits for maintenance section involved. Have a complete understanding of the permit to work system procedure applied to the plant. Issue and cancel permits to work per authorization. Normalize the equipment after release and perform necessary testing to check the equipment or system after maintenance. Monitor the overall status of the plant and summarize activities in the log book. Fill daily plant status reports and relay all activities that occurred during his shift. Maintain staff evaluation records, vacation schedules etc. prepare evaluation forms for personnel requirement. Prepare incident / accident reports and other reports required by the departments and submit to the concerned authorities within stipulated time period. Keep accurate records on all activities performed in the plant on regular basis. Assist in the training and familiarization of new personnel in the shift. Study and suggest for any modifications which can improve the plant efficiency. Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessment are carried out, controlled and updated. Implement, monitor and report IMS objectives, Targets and programs. Report deviations in Integrated Management System, identify root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions. Ensure regulatory compliance with respect to their scope of activities. Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective actions/Preventive actions. Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and implement necessary actions. Carry out periodic performance evaluation of reporting employees. Provide on-the-job training to new employees and evaluate their OJT Performance. Identification, documentation and control of hazards in assigned work area. Ensure aspects identified are monitored and operational controls are followed. Control emergencies, incidents and near misses. Communicate with the load dispatch center. This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for managing system operations while providing technical guidance, infrastructure oversight, and mentorship to junior team members. The role focuses on ensuring the reliability, security, performance, and scalability of server infrastructure, cloud environments, virtualization platforms, and critical business applications. Experience managing cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS or Azure. Advanced knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware v Sphere or Hyper-V. Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs, routing, and load balancing. Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or similar technologies. Experience with disaster recovery methodologies. Proficiency in Power Shell or Bash scripting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively during critical incidents. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic is a plus. Preferred Industry certifications such as MCSE, RHCE, AWS Solutions Architect, VCP, or ITIL. <p>Andersen is hiring a Business/System Analyst for a project focused on the digital transformation and modernization of healthcare systems delivering therapeutic and laboratory services. Compensation: $8–10k+, negotiable for senior candidates.
The customer is a leading healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia. The project is focused on the modernization and digital transformation of a healthcare provider that delivers therapeutic and laboratory services for residents of a large metropolitan area and surrounding region.
The project involves business trips to the client in Jeddah (KSA).
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrating the delivery approach and methodology for Phase 1.
- Identifying key stakeholders and defining the project governance structure, including the RACI matrix, communication plan, reporting cadence, and decision-making processes.
- Validating and refining the project's scope, priorities, assumptions, and expectations.
- Conducting Phase 0 workshops, including kickoff, scope validation, compliance, dependency mapping, system demos, architecture and NFR review, estimation calibration, integration review, delivery planning, and phase closeout.
- Documenting systems that require integration.
- Preparing Phase 0 documentation and results.
- Preparing the Requirements Management Plan.
- Preparing Phase 1 CP document.
