The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities to manage security operations, support enterprise security platforms, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement across network security and cyber defense technologies. This role requires ownership of enterprise firewall architecture, secure remote access solutions, network access control, threat monitoring, operational support, vendor coordination, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities Security Architecture & Firewall Management Design, deploy, administer, and optimize enterprise firewall environments. Manage and maintain next-generation firewall platforms, including Fortinet and Palo Alto Networks. Develop and implement security policies, network segmentation, NAT, IPS, application control, URL filtering, and advanced threat protection. Perform firewall rule lifecycle management, periodic reviews, cleanup, and compliance validation. Support high-availability deployments, upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Secure Access & VPN Management Design, implement, and manage secure remote access and application access solutions. Administer technologies such as App Gate Secure Access, Forti Client VPN, and Forti Web secure access integrations. Monitor VPN performance, availability, and user access. Implement Zero Trust access controls where applicable. Ensure secure access solutions are aligned with business and cybersecurity requirements. Network Access Control Deploy, manage, and maintain Network Access Control solutions, including Fortinet NAC. Implement device profiling, posture assessment, onboarding, and access enforcement. Integrate NAC with authentication systems, endpoint platforms, and network infrastructure. Monitor NAC performance and support issue resolution. Security Operations & Threat Management Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents. Manage and optimize security controls, including IPS, WAF, endpoint security platforms, and related tools. Coordinate remediation activities and ensure timely incident resolution. Conduct security assessments and identify areas for improvement. Support cybersecurity initiatives, audits, compliance requirements, and operational reporting. Monitoring & Operations Administer and maintain OPManager Plus monitoring platform. Configure dashboards, alerts, health monitoring, reporting, and capacity planning. Ensure operational visibility across network and security infrastructure. Support incident, problem, and change management activities. Prepare technical documentation, operational procedures, and status reports. Leadership & Team Support Lead and mentor engineers and analysts within the network and security operations area. Promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Support technical decision-making and operational excellence. Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and managed service providers. Support project planning, implementation, documentation, and handover activities. Required Skills Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet and Palo Alto security solutions. Strong knowledge of NGFW architecture, IPS/IDS, WAF, VPN, NAC, endpoint security, and network segmentation. Experience with App Gate Secure Access or similar Zero Trust Network Access solutions. Experience with OPManager Plus or similar monitoring and reporting platforms. Strong understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise network services. Strong troubleshooting, incident handling, and root cause analysis skills. Experience working in enterprise-scale network and security environments. Good understanding of security best practices, compliance requirements, and operational controls.
