large-scale development and infrastructure projects. </p><br><p>The role is expected effectively contribute to the overall BIM strategy, information management, digital delivery governance, and This role exists to lead, manage, and coordinate all mechanical and electrical engineering design activities across ECEC's Riyadh HQ and Cairo Offshore operations, ensuring the delivery of technically rigorous, code-compliant MEP design solutions across all project work stages (CD, SD, DD, IFT, IFC) to achieve client satisfaction, commercial performance, and the highest professional engineering standards. This role further exists to build, develop, and retain a high-performing cross-location MEP engineering team, structured across both Riyadh and Cairo, supporting ECEC's strategic business expansion objectives by scaling engineering capacity, embedding quality assurance practices, and representing MEP interests at senior leadership and client levels.<br>C - Key Accountabilities#Key Accountability Area Key Activities / Actions<br>1Responsible for overall MEP engineering design quality and technical compliance by directing, reviewing, and approving all Mechanical and Electrical design outputs across all project work stages (CD, SD, DD, IFT, IFC) to deliver code-compliant, technically excellent designs that meet client brief and ECEC's quality standards. Review and approve MEP design packages at each stage, Enforce Saudi Building Code, SBC, NFPA, BS/IEC, and relevant standards – Lead technical design reviews and inter-discipline coordination – Sign off on the output technical deliverables for design submissions2Responsible for MEP team leadership, performance management, and capability development by directly managing the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Leads (Riyadh) and exercising matrix management over the Cairo Principal Engineers, to build a cohesive, high-performing cross-location MEP team aligned to ECEC's growth objectives. Review the daily maintenance / condition monitoring reports and submit periodic reports to the management, keeping them informed of all technical problems, if any, as well as recent changes or modifications on existing work plant or schedule. Lead the Maintenance management meetings so that the entire team is clear on the standards required and the maintenance programs that are underway. In the Project Phase: Coordinate with the EPC representatives on site to understand the critical equipment installation etc., and undertake the Commissioning Monitoring, Acceptance Test Campaign and “As-build” documentation activities, to ensure required transfer of knowledge. Outage Management:Together with the Planning Engineer, lead the effective forecasting of manpower and material requirements to ensure timely availability of resources and spares for effective execution of maintenance plans. Operations Planning:Cascade of the Plant’s operational strategy to develop production plans and lead the effective monthly and daily scheduling of plant shift operations in line with the approved strategies and business demands to ensure the production targets are met. Operations Management:Lead and effectively manage all aspects of power generation and / or water production within ACWA operational plant to ensure efficient operations, whilst maintaining a critical focus on safety and quality. Work with all related parties to troubleshoot and resolve escalated/critical operational issues to facilitate timely achievement of production objectives whilst ensuring minimal liquidity damages. Review the daily operations reports and submit periodic reports to the management, keeping them informed of all technical problems, if any, as well as on recent changes or modifications on existing work plan or schedule. Lead the Operational management meetings so that the entire team is clear on the production standards required and the operations programs that are underway. Review the long-term equipment and operating performance characteristics and provide technical recommendations to improve the reliability of the equipment and overall efficiency of the operations processes.
