Process Data Support This position provides timely analytical data to refining operators to optimize acid usage and maximize metal recovery rates during processing. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Description People Management Supervise the activities and work of the team members during the shift to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems. Operations Management Monitor plant performance and provide operations engineering support dealing with all process / operational related matters and activities during the shift to ensure optimal plant operations in a timely manner. Oversee the day-to-day activities of shift staff and manage all plant operating activities ensuring they are executed in a safe and efficient manner so that the operational area meets required targets. Review all current work instructions, SOPs, processes and procedures and recommend necessary changes to the Operations Manager, ensuring process efficiency and optimization of resources. Monitor operational performance and make quick decisions to correct abnormalities or disturbances, taking corrective actions during a state of emergency. Coordinate with all other departments for activities that are related to plant operations during the shift and ensure their timely execution as per the plan. Maintenance Support . Ensure all system documents are up to date in order to comply with NOMAC s quality standards. Supervise the startup checklist, interlock checks, protection tests, non routine activities like preservation, acid cleaning etc. Upon authorization, issue work permits for maintenance section involved. Have a complete understanding of the permit to work system procedure applied to the plant. Issue and cancel permits to work per authorization. Normalize the equipment after release and perform necessary testing to check the equipment or system after maintenance. Monitor the overall status of the plant and summarize activities in the log book. Fill daily plant status reports and relay all activities that occurred during his shift. Prepare incident / accident reports and other reports required by the departments and submit to the concerned authorities within stipulated time period.
