<span><br>POSITION SUMMARY<br>Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy. Organize, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in accordance with policies and procedures. Record, store, access, and/or analyze computerized financial information. Classify, code, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals, ledgers, and/or computers. Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Summary:The CSSD Supervisor oversees daily operations of the Central Sterile Supply Department, ensuring efficient processing, sterilization, and distribution of medical instruments and supplies. This role provides leadership, training, and quality oversight while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and supporting optimal patient care through sterile processing excellence.<br>Functional Responsibilities:Ensures through his actions, either directly or indirectly, that a superior quality of medical treatment, compassion and understanding is given to every patient served at the CARE Hospitals and Clinics. Supervise daily workflow and staffing assignments for decontamination, sterilization, and distribution processes Monitor departmental productivity and turnaround times to meet surgical schedule demands Coordinate with OR schedulers to anticipate instrument needs and prioritize processing Manage emergency and STAT requests ensuring rapid response times Oversee equipment operation and maintenance schedules for sterilizers and washers Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing of supplies and materials Manage departmental budget and control operational costs Ensure proper storage and rotation of sterile supplies Coordinate with biomedical engineering for equipment repairs and maintenance Track and analyze departmental metrics and performance indicators Maintain accurate sterilization records and quality assurance documentation Prepare reports on departmental performance and quality indicators Document staff training and competency assessments Ensure proper incident reporting and corrective action documentation Support external inspections and accreditation surveys Collaborate with surgical services, nursing units, and other departments Participate in hospital committees and quality improvement initiatives Communicate effectively with medical staff regarding instrument needs Coordinate with environmental services and infection control teams Serve as departmental liaison for administrative meetings Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, AAMI, CDC, and other regulatory standards Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, hospital infection control and safety protocols to adhere to international standards, such as AAMI, APIC, AORN, OSHA and FDAEnsure the standard precautions related to CSSD are implemented, including wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE), receiving and handling of contaminated instruments, chemical storage and usage.
