The Sr. Quantity Surveyor plays a pivotal role in the Agriculture & Crop Production sector, particularly in managing project costs and ensuring financial efficiency. This position is crucial for overseeing the financial aspects of construction and agricultural projects, ensuring that they are completed within budget and on time. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in quantity surveying, with a strong understanding of agricultural project requirements and financial management. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure that all financial aspects of the projects are meticulously planned and executed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for agricultural projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies to assess project viability and financial implications.
- Monitor project expenditures and provide regular financial reports to stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to project costs.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors.
- Implement cost control measures to minimize financial risks.
- Provide advice on procurement strategies and value engineering.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of projects within budget.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
Preferred Candidate:
- Civil, agricultural, landscape architect engineer or Quantity Surveyor (QS).
- 7-10 years of experience, preferably within KSA.
- Experience with any Public Investment Fund (PIF) projects.
- Experience in landscaping projects, including quantities take-off from POQ & drawings, execution quantities calculations by company or subcontractor, and variations order quantities calculations.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within the agriculture sector.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
